  • The one game of the year I didn't make it to...

  • lmao i wonder if that hurt but he did have a big bear suit on lmao

  • WE LOVE U BENNY BOYYY!!!!!!!!

  • I was sitting on the top row of the lair when this happened lol.

  • i was there...go UC go #37 JK Schaffer yea!

  • Yeah dude! I know you.

  • I was there! Go Bearcats!

  • That could have been bad.

  • what a miracle the chute opened back up for a split second before impact. I am sure that made a difference!

  • If anyone has the newest issue of Sports Illustrated, the parachute incident is mentioned on page 21 in a story entitled "Chute Happens - A Brief History of the Aerial Entrance."

  • I sent this in to SI's Extra Mustard Hot Clicks and they posted it yesterday and that was when it had only around 2,000 views.

233,000 views in a couple days? SI with the assist!

  • How bout Yahoo sports with over 100,000 clicks.

  • Did it get on there too? I hadn't checked.

  • thanks for posting it! im trying to see how many people i can get to watch it and if i can get it on sportscenter or something like that

  • I emailed the link to Pardon the Interruption and Around the Horn.

  • 235,000 views, holycrap! That's more than all my videos combined on my old account.

  • lollercopter

  • two words...... ROFLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOOLOLOOOLOLOLOLOLOOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLO!!!!!!!!!!11one

  • With this and the UNC-Duke error, it was one hell of a week for skydiving and college football.

  • hey everybody, do you notice the cheerleader who ran and tried to catch him? That's Matt Cardella, hit him up on facebook.

  • Nice PLF!!

    Amazing

  • looks like he took a bearcatwilly!

  • lololol.

    pwned.

  • What a klutz!

    Quit skydiving!

  • A nice and happy landing. Hope it can symbolize the year Cincy will get.

  • interesting.. hope he's ok.

  • We were in the third row of the endzone, right underneath him, I was very surprised to see him jump up unhurt, thanks for posting this, we were too stuned to turn the camera on..

  • The Bearcat guy was fine... he was crowdsurfing in the student section a mere 20 minutes later.

  • The skydiving bearcat was actually an army jumper in the bearcat costume. with the head on and hands, it was hard to see the wire, and control the chute.

I was one of the few army/airforce personnel on the field at the time.

  • wow that looks like that hurt. I hope he's ok!

  • Wow I live in Cincinnati, just wish I could've been there to see that.

  • wow, Cinci's mascot plays harder than the entire Pitt squad.

  • Took me a while to find your video, but your capture is better than the one I posted. Good job! Looks like your seats are in the upper deck. We're down near the band.

  • no they werent in the upper deck, i was in the section next to the band, but up towards the top. and thanks! i'm surprised i got this on video

  • Probably the most exciting thing that happened all game.

  • I love the atmosphere and had a great time, but it was pathetic. People show up late into the second quarter and by the fourth quarter a third to half the stadium is again vacant. It shouldn't have even taken a 10 win season to fill up a 35k stadium for a team that has had several winning seasons over recent years. It's an undervalued team that deserves better from the fans and the local and national media.

I'll be at every home game. Go Bearcats!

  • I sent an email to PTI. We'll see what happens.

  • It's sickening to actually hear people being entertained as he falls to the ground. I was there and found it terrifying. Thank God he didn't appear to be badly hurt. It could have been so much worse.

  • Wow brother.

  • i know. its awesome. it was so funny to watch. and the game was sweet too, 40-7. UC owned. Go Bearcats!

  • I like when it hits the ground and bounces and then someone in the background says "start of a good year."

  • Hey make some more tags for this video. I was putting everything but UC and Bearcat. University of Cincinnati, Bearcats, mascot would work.

  • alright i will

  • I was wondering if this would end up on youtube. That video looks like it was taken from a similar angle from where I was. A few more feet ahead and it could have gotten pretty ugly.

  • i was there...and our bearcat is one crazy motherfucker.

  • wow i was there and saw that it was crazy and i havent missed a home game in 5 years so i'll be ther

  • haha yeah i know (i was there), and even if 8000 seats were not filled, it still got loud, the outcome was the same. therefore, youtube arguements are pointless! :-)

  • Oh wow...fail.

  • all i can say, is fans or no fans... they won the game right?

  • yeah they won 40-7.

  • hah who is this wonderturtle??? lol

    go bearcats!!!!!!

  • I was in that section.. it was freaking packed in..

  • Ooo look wonderturtle thinks hes some kind of hard guy..lol

  • this was way before the game started, i can send you a picture of the stadium after the game started so you can see all the people that were there. it definitly was not empty.

  • Dude, it was two weeks before school starts. Clifton is empty for the two weeks between end of exams and the start of next quarter. And it was a Thursday night game against a D-1AA opponent. And the Bengals and Reds had games that started at the same time.

There's not a single school in the country that would sell out a Thursday game against a D-1AA opponent when two local professional teams have games at the same time, especially when there's no students around.

  • UC is on pace to sell out there next 4 home games. The Miami game on Sept. 20th is very close to a pregame sell out. So actually you are officially pathetic...

  • This was half an hour before the game started. That section behind him was sold out and filled at game time. Wonderturtle knows not what he talks about.

  • do really think that makes the attendence any less pathetic?

  • I do no think it is pathetic at all. It was a good time for 26,913 people. I am sure more would have liked to have been there but with the Bengals playing at the same time, a long weekend full of family vacations, the student body not having to be in school until September 26, and it being a thursday night they could not be there to sell it out. I wonder why you are so bitter about it. You keep saying that no one in Ohio cares, yet 26,913 did attend and more listened on 700 WLW.

  • Man you need to send this to Sportscenter
