  • stewards: hamiltons fault

  • Harry Hogge: All right. While we're still under a caution, I want you to go back out on that track and hit the pace car.

Cole Trickle: Hit the pace car?

Harry Hogge: Hit the pace car.

    Cole Trickle: What for?

Harry Hogge: Because you've hit every other goddamned thing out there, I want you to be perfect.

  • he did a cool move anyway... if I was in that situation I would shit myself and then made a bigger crash :D

  • not his fault. look where they are waving the flags. how do you supose to notice?

  • heidfeld still think he si better than Kubica, funny :D

  • hahahahaha :)

  • The driver shits his pant

  • ha ha. let me get the door

  • Luckily the medical guy has not step out of the car when he opened the door.

  • And that's why he's an F1 formula driver. If it was anyone else he would've probably hit the car full on and most likely killed someone, but it's amazing that at that speed he was able to keep control and avoid the people.

  • guys what are when the man has go out from car?

  • @tommlvanbomml

What you just said dont make sense

  • Comment removed

  • not seeing, but previous flag marshall should a had flag out too, but how quick and how much reaction time ?

  • With the doors on the medical car this year this wouldn't be a problem!

  • stupid euro's and their cars. we have trucks. not toy cars

  • @Lights0ut1109 yeah right and cart is a mediocre version of F1 but they have trucks TRUCKS!!!! fuck yeah!!!!

  • @MarcoTUV now we're talking

  • @MarcoTUV If you have to get to an accident in a hurry, you'll get there quicker with an AMG Mercedes station wagon than with a heavy duty pickup truck. To be honest, the only reason NASCAR and Indycar need safety teams with trucks is that they can't muster enough manpower to fully man each corner the way F1 does. The corner workers can simply run to the crash. The medical car (which in Indycar is a Honda Accord) simply brings the doctor.

  • @gturner38 agree, well im sure a truck in the track is a very bad idea... i don´t want know what happended to heifeld if he crashed with a truck instead that MB Wagon

  • @Lights0ut1109 in europe we buy toy trucks, because they are so shit and worthless!

  • @Lights0ut1109 And if Heidfeld hit a truck, he could of died. "stupid yanks and their trucks"

  • @OneTeaTime I dont think I've ever been upset when someone calls American's yanks.

  • @Lights0ut1109 Same to you about "euro's"

  • LLLOLOLOL

  • Funny :)

Why did the medical car park there?

  • certainly the guy who open the door from the medical car made shit in his paints! xD

  • That was cool.. never seen that before!

  • omg...1 sec delay n de passenger wudve got out of car n dat wud be it...bye bye

  • @scooby55599

uhm... the driver would be hit ;)

  • medic over here!!

    for whom?

    the medic

    O.O u gotta be kiddin

  • No chance they're getting their deposit back now thanks to Heidfeld.

  • could have been so much worse.

  • If you look at the speed in which this happens (and try, just try, to locate yourself in Heidfeld's seat)

You'll know these things can happen in F1...

  • nick heidfeld is the biggest looser.

  • @1oktay1 I suggest you should first learn how to write "loser" before posting a YouTube comment.

  • @repsaC3398 fuck u prick

  • passenger shit his undies

  • the color blind heidfeld

  • jaka o jest kurwa ciota to sie w ale nie mieści

  • mind if the car had suicide doors..

  • Houston, we have a Problem.

  • Comment removed

  • heidfield was vey luck that door didnt hit him in the fave

  • that mercedes driver saw him in rear mirror and he open doors with purpouse

  • Very Very lucky was the passenger

  • @BeakedMonk50 Shut up. Heidfeld is the best!

  • Be a dear and get the door for me?

  • no team radio sauber!!!warning red flag,!! vv ferrari

  • This was not in the race, but the morning wake-up. It is all the marshalls fault: When Heidfeld is right before the curve, no flag is visibible. Even the yellow lights on the medical car are off.

  • Heidfeld is stupid and he can't drive

  • No fue Heifield fue Felipe Massa.

  • ASD

  • 2002??????????????

  • @BeakedMonk50 Not really a case of Heidfeld being stupid. The marshal was a bit slow with the red flag, and if memory serves me, the flag station before that one was showing the debris flag, not the white flag for a slow car.

  • @gturner38 Dude, don't bother. Not worth answering normally to a troll.

  • @BeakedMonk50 Your parents are stupid for making you

  • Heidfailed

  • OMG it was really lucky that no one was stepping off that medical car

  • agree with comment below. Safety car stays in pitlane and as can be seen in the video the safety car would have to complete a lap to get around to the Arrows car because of the long pit exit. If u freeze it at 16 seconds, the safety car is on the right. Bernd Maylander drives the safety car not the medical car

  • he broke the door :(

  • heidfeld is such a noob....seriously he fails

  • heidfeld was planning for the inside, saw the safety car ontime but locked up

  • holy fuck there's a safety car and red flag, how do you fuck that up?!

  • Medical car out for the Medical car. LOL

  • Der klassische Heidfeld, ja so kennen Ihn wir;-)

  • well done, safety too early

  • Géant!Bravo Nick!!!!!

  • wow his series of reactions was insanely fast

  • MAN I CANT W8 FOR 2011 FGP GUNA BE AWESOME

  • At least, he knows how to make shortcuts :p

  • I think so...

    It's awesome!!

  • this could have ended badly for both of them , Heidfeld and the medical car driver.

  • Orange Arrows-Best paintjob in F1 ever??

  • @TheVimtoMoustache

dont be bloody stupid. have you seen the jps lotus?

  • @TheVimtoMoustache Nope. That would be the John Player Special Lotus

  • @TheVimtoMoustache not really, the red bull one beats it by a longshot

  • @TheVimtoMoustache Rothmans Williams

  • @TheVimtoMoustache that would be the (70s) Lotus or Rothmann Williams

  • @TheVimtoMoustache By far, IMO :)

  • @TheVimtoMoustache yeeeah, man

  • @TheVimtoMoustache nope, Jaguar.

  • "Knock knock"

    "Who's there?"

    "Quick Nick"

  • Drive thru for the safety car. LOL Thank god, no one got hurt.

  • stupid medical car driver drove straight out and parked on the racing line.

  • hahahah

  • the medical car driver must have shit his pants. he was so close to death at that speed. good no one got hurt

  • He could have also crashed 100% into the car but his reaction was great. Go Heidfeld! :D

  • Hiedfeld to force india next season

  • @21hazza

Nah, Force India is talking to Nico Hulkenberg. I think Nick's time is up in F1. "Kwik Nick" is one of my favourite drivers but I think he is finished in F1. He'll probably pop up in DTM. BMW are entering the series in 2012, so look out for him.

  • @thestaggie Dont think your tellling the truth there

  • @TuneViper

    The truth regarding?

BMW's DTM programme? Fact. Just check their website. They have targeted 2012.

Heidfeld out of F1? It looked that way until Kubica injured himself and ended his 2011 season before it began. Heidfled is the primary candidate to replace him.

Hulkenberg at Force India? Fact. He is contracted as their reserve and test driver for 2011.

  • @thestaggie Yea i meant the Heidfeld/Kubica thing i was messin :P

  • Yellow FLAG!!

  • Why does it have to be anybody's fault?

  • @rumvodkaf1 I agree. Someone always gets the blame even when its nobody's fault.

  • now the Safety Car gets a penalty?

  • OMG !!!!

  • Hahahahaha Heidefeld hates your car

  • After this embarrising incident he changed his name to Nick HIDEfeld

  • Heidfield's reaction to this with Crofty eight years later was hilarious XD He was watching this very clip, and was rather embarrased bless him.

  • Sometimes 'LOL' is the answerXD

  • He knows how to take shortcuts. Don't blame him

  • is that so heidfeld that bad only bec0z he once hit a medical car? maybe those who said that should look at hamilton's 80km/h car ram onto raikkonen in a straight pit lane than heidfeld who was desperately need to avoid two cars in the middle of a corner..schumacher also drove at similar speed as heidfeld but he's an oversteered person than heidfeld's understeered.

  • actually if you look at the speed he was going, he was coming in too fast to continue turning right and avoided hitting both of the cars.

  • lol poor dor

  • O.O

  • they really know where to park in a circuit that the cars are running with 250 km/h!! they must have lessons for that

  • lol

  • bwuahahahahahahaha lol

  • doctor is doing his job. he earn up per hour

  • Hehe, at the end, Bernoldi looks at the door and he's like "What the hell?"

  • what a reaction!! ultra faSt thinking! great!

  • "So how did this accident happen then?"

"Um... This is gonna take more than just that little box at the bottom of the insurance form..."

  • safety not medical

  • @frontchiken No, it's the medical car. The safety car is the one still in the pits later in the video. The safety car would never come out and stop on the race track to assist another car. Plus the race was red flagged so the medical car was cleared to come out onto the track.

  • ..... what i really want to know are what the flag marshal's were doing... first came a yellow and red then at the same time a green... so tracks a go for race... and then a red came up too damn late! check the replay in slomo...

    good reaction time though!

  • I really wanna know, what the driver of the medical car thought here.

  • good job the bloke hadn't quite got out!

  • I thought it was massa?!.

  • if heldfeld was injured that would rate about a 9 on the irony scale

  • Theres no way he cloudev avoided that one..Totaly medical cars fault.

  • @Brainiac83

    No0b

  • ahahhahahahahaahahahahahhahahahahahahahahahaahaahah

  • I wonder if the blue car was unable to see very well with the red car being in the way. At least everybody made it out all right, even if it was just dumb luck.

  • heidfeld is very good that he dont crash into the medical car muhahahaha

  • the medical car driver is an idiot ;) Sam ;D..

  • Kyle Brow

The car that crashed into the Medical vehicle damages its driver's door while it was being opened by the driver of that vehicle.

  • Bernoli is in FIA GT (GT1) now rite?

  • iidiot

  • Why is this a red flag? Surely only a safety car??

  • @hammersandirons1001 Because this happened during warm-up (it's like free practice). It's easier to stop a race then, because the results don't matter and they can clean the track properly.

  • @kabouterplop19

    oh rite thanks ;)

  • All Nick Heidfeld :P

  • the driver should of stopped on the grass and shut is bloody door, not nick fault

  • idiot nochmal :) oh man dieser Heidfled !!!

  • hahahahaha

  • idiot! damn thats exactly how i remember nick lol

  • Thank god the man in the medical car was inside when Nik crashed into its door!

  • Looks like the Safety Car got there quick. Too quick perhaps. Obviously Heidfeld and the car before him didn't know there was a crash in that section...

  • I wonder who payed for that mercedes wagon?

  • Heidfeld is one of the WORST drivers ever to get a ride in F1. No excuse. If someone ahead of you paid enough attention to the flags and avoided the problem in a controlled manner, then you should too.

I can't believe people actually defend him here. He fucked up. Even he knows that. Quit trying to turn it into some heroic crash avoidance move!

    Ha.

  • @sizemikp I believe Heidfeld holds the record for most consecutive finishes. Which you don't get without being a damn good driver. We have zero idea how hard it is to drive a F1 car and he got a wobble out of the corner and the only place left to go was where he went. If he had been a rubbish driver he would have crashed it into the back of the medical car which could have been fatal.

  • @LeJimster: I appreciate your comments but, at least in this case, with another driver ahead of him managing to find a safe way through, I maintain he slipped up.

  • @LeJimster He does own the record - over two seasons worth of finishes, which is no small feat. The really interesting part is that he did this while completely under the radar, and never noticed until someone figured it out during a DNF.

  • *lol* he's still a dork =)

  • Look at the curbs - lots of yellow lines = no parking :)

  • never use shortcuts in F1

  • that guy would have crapped his pants at 0:12

  • impresionante

  • but nick reacted great, in the last momet he turned left

  • quality

  • 0:10 "SHHHHHIIIT."

  • Ecclesto gave Heidfeld money, if he would kill that man O_O

  • Thorfin, Why are 'Flags' used in F1? Are the flags for spectators who just love to wave any sheet in the air? When we raced 'European, Stock Sedans' near San Francisco in '70s and '80s, yellow flags meant slow down, and use extreme caution while waiting for the restart. The red flags meant stop as quickly as possible, and shut the engine off. The red flag was used when a dangerous condition existed somewhere on the track, or in the pit area. I thought that the colors were universally excepted.

  • @Thorfinolson They are, but it was a fresh red and Heidfeild had no time to react. No to mention the medical car cut the track to get there.

  • I agree. He did pretty okay in the situation.

  • that is a f1 classic. Like when Matchett lost the jack behind the sauber

  • It wasn't Nick's fault. it was in the warm-up of the 2002 Brazilian GP. Firstly, if the safety car comes out in a practice session, the starting lights on the finish straight have to show red. That was not to be. Secondly, even in regular traffic - if you want to open the door, you f......g have to look in the rear view mirror! The safety car driver was Alex Ribeiro then. He was replaced by Bernd Mayländer after this accident.

  • i don't know why you've been thumbed down. you're spot on right!

  • @TheColinChapman haha....it is the MEDICAL car. Ribeiro drove it until 2008!! Bernd Mayländer is the driver of the SAFETY car since 2000. so 2 years earlier than this crash and 2 different kinds of Cars!! And Nick passed the lights at the start before the red lights became on, so he didn't know. He saw it and tried to go like the ferrari right of the Medical car but got in a slide and caught it. But then he had to go on the left side and crashed into the door of the MEDICAL car!!

  • @TheColinChapman This is Medical car, no Safety car. This accident was in 2002, Bernd Mayländer drive Safety car from year 2000. Look at official website of Formula 1

  • @TheColinChapman it wasn't the safety car that got hit though it was the medical car

  • think the driver's got shocked

  • what a lucky safty man in a

    car.

  • ouf la porte chaud !!!

  • One of the few crashes Nick's had in F1.

  • he was going too fast! he would kill bernoldi but heidfeld thought very fast the movement so all went ok

  • in one way , he is stupid, but on the other hand he is a good driver coz he controlled his car after his mistake !!! he could crash with the orange car and kill the driver :S

  • WTF!?!?

  • I think the driver's got shocked...... His hand was just inches from Nick's car.

  • lucky bastard!

  • very surprise.

  • Jeez, a few seconds later and it wouldnt just have been the door that got hit.

  • did he hurt the driver?
