Not giving anything a chance because I am sick of lead changes in every movie instead of keeping the same actor playing the part. Can't even identify an actor with a character anymore.

@gamenigeria No, I don' read comics. Have not read since I was a kid. The last movie was not a failure because of Brandon Routh in my opinion. The story was not great and the movie was not as good as it could have been but Routh had the look of Superman (resembled Reeve) and should have made another one but made it better. Learn from past mistakes and make a better sequel. Really the Superman MOS reboot should have came in 2006 with Routh and this be Part 2 or Returns with him coming next year.

@gamenigeria well a lot of people thought Routh resembled Reeve and I think that was why he was accepted because Reeve shoes are not easy to fill and really have not been filled nor will they be. Now we have people involved in the newest Batman franchise and director of Watchmen? God help us!

So if where to bring him back,most of audience would not go because of Ruth. zack snyder is really putting his best into superman, and remember the batman franchie was very successful

Should have used a different villain than Lex whose storyline was really old and Bosworth was not a good choice for Lois. Don't get the Nolan Batman franchise or why the brainwashed public thinks they are so good. Bale is not good in either role, the movies are slow and boring. There has not been a good Batman movie since 1989.

It's good except for the missing part in the middle. The insignia is a welcome change from returns. So are the boots. and the cape fabric. The actor too.
Don't think to highly of it. The suit is made to make the arms look bigger. The muscle look fake a little. He is fit. seen him on a few shows but he isn't built Superman fit. looks like him in the face thou.

I don't like the costume. There giving this movie a darker time. Superman isn't a dark character. Looks like hollywood will screw this one up . They should stick to the basics. That suit is iconic. i dont see anything wrong with the suit im a big superman fan and feel it should be changed to fit the times so long as the main elements are there which they are s=check cape=check blue red and yellow=check pants underneath how they should be this isnt a 60's camp comic this is bring it to life and with it being said the film will have a darker tone then the costume is definately fitting anyway my main concern is that the story is good.if thats achieved the costume is a small matter really
I actually like it. I'm glad that they finally ditched the red underwear too. Never really saw the point of those. They could give him a red belt like they did in the relaunch but yeah, this one is pretty good.
I like some things about the suit, and hate others. My biggest complaint is that the costume itself is too dull. I want the blue and red to really stand out, the red parts are alright, but the blue almost looks grey. Not a big fan of the metal parts on the costume either. The shield, I kinda like, and I like the outside underwear being gone. Cavill is a good actor though, so if the script is good, it should be a good movie.

fans and dedicated followers of the man of steel myself is a huge fanatic of him with that being said if i had the opportunity to direct and cast this film and design the video game i would take time by placing myself in the shoes of the fans and really put Superman back on the map i hope the movie is a great one.
Great, it's a more modern, realistic suit and not as cartoon-ish. This is a movie not a comic book or cartoon even though it started out that way. Plus the muscle looks to be ALL CAVILL -- looks like he worked hard. Looking forward to seeing this film and any future films to see how the suit evolves.
cant believe people are moaning about certain blues and no red underpants!! I for one think its great! better than Returns, had far too many "S". as for the look of superman, tall dark and handsome, is all you need, problem is we had Chistopher as superman so long ppl are used to his look. the biggest fail for superman returns is they wanted a lookalike to an actor that played superman, not actually caring about the character, it was a copy of the original movie.

The blue tone is wrong...a bit lighter would be nice. Depends on how the lighting of the movie will show though.
The removal of red underwear seems to work for some comic adaptations - though, in real life it seems that removing it makes the bulge in his crotch extra apparant. (*whistles* what a SUPERman ;))
Textures shoudl've been minimized, too plastic here.
The S-shield is awesome, reminds me of Kingdom Come. Though the small piece in upper right corner doesnt fit.
DC Comics has let the Hollywood producers and directors screw up their movies. Superman Returns just plain S|_|CKED. Superman II, III and IV were awful. However, look at Marvel. Stan Lee makes darned sure what works in the comics STAYS IN THE MOVIE. DC, however, must be run by wussies because they let Bryan Singer screw up their movies and kicked out Richard Donner who made Superman: the Movie successful but the sequels were horrible. Superman II as it was released was little like......
I not interstated in this movie...cause don't look like superman...looks just like a new superhero...the actor is ok for this movie..... but the costume sucks.
The Blue was darker with Brandon, now it's even Darker with Cavill; Why? Looks like it's been washed a few times. I mean what are all of those weird lines running across the suit? I really hope it's a necessary meaning. It would be weird to hear Clark sound British. I understand that the underwear had to go; but wheres the belt? "Returns" had some sluggish chapters, but Brandon was a great Superman, so why do we need to do a Reboot. Richard Donner's Superman is amazing and unmatched; period!!!

I prefer the old one and even the suits that Tom Welling wore in Smallville. But then who am i to say to Nolan what to do.I also love Brandon Routh. But I put Christopher Reeve at the top of them all. Then Tom Welling as a farm boy "Clark Kent". Oh i'm not against Henry Cavill, as long as he will carry the movie and can act like Chris reeve that would be okay. SUPERMAN IS MY HERO. BATMAN, SPIDERMAN, 2nd and 3rd.

Come on guys...Its a new concept of superman and a new style. I think Zack Snyder has a good idea on how to make this one different, but good. The guy made the Watchmen and look how good that was, give or a take a few parts. Just give him the chance and the time of day for this movie, maybe he has something up his sleeve we can't see yet. IF you're going to base the movie off of the suit, you're wasting your time. We don't even know what to come of it yet.

Great, it's a more modern, realistic suit and not as cartoon-ish. This is a movie not a comic book or cartoon even though it started out that way. Plus the muscle looks to be ALL CAVILL -- looks like he worked hard. Looking forward to seeing this film and any future films to see how the suit evolves.

cant believe people are moaning about certain blues and no red underpants!! I for one think its great! better than Returns, had far too many "S". as for the look of superman, tall dark and handsome, is all you need, problem is we had Chistopher as superman so long ppl are used to his look. the biggest fail for superman returns is they wanted a lookalike to an actor that played superman, not actually caring about the character, it was a copy of the original movie.

My thoughts:
The blue tone is wrong...a bit lighter would be nice. Depends on how the lighting of the movie will show though.
The removal of red underwear seems to work for some comic adaptations - though, in real life it seems that removing it makes the bulge in his crotch extra apparant. (*whistles* what a SUPERman ;))
Textures shoudl've been minimized, too plastic here.
The S-shield is awesome, reminds me of Kingdom Come. Though the small piece in upper right corner doesnt fit.
I like it.

DC Comics has let the Hollywood producers and directors screw up their movies. Superman Returns just plain S|_|CKED. Superman II, III and IV were awful. However, look at Marvel. Stan Lee makes darned sure what works in the comics STAYS IN THE MOVIE. DC, however, must be run by wussies because they let Bryan Singer screw up their movies and kicked out Richard Donner who made Superman: the Movie successful but the sequels were horrible. Superman II as it was released was little like......

The Blue was darker with Brandon, now it's even Darker with Cavill; Why? Looks like it's been washed a few times. I mean what are all of those weird lines running across the suit? I really hope it's a necessary meaning. It would be weird to hear Clark sound British. I understand that the underwear had to go; but wheres the belt? "Returns" had some sluggish chapters, but Brandon was a great Superman, so why do we need to do a Reboot. Richard Donner's Superman is amazing and unmatched; period!!!

I just luv the scene after hes just saw Louis playing his usual Clark, and hes flying over the city and the music that plays and u gather the sense Superman has realized the world has moved on. That says alot bout how things r now compared to the past with the previous Superman movies.

And actually Batman is my fav superhero of all of them cus I feel he can go the deepest and darkest of them all, and is the best superhero that can b totally grounded in Reality. @JGCerberuz This is where there is misunderstanding lol, Im not arguing with u here yes Batman is indeed NOT a "Superhero" in the sense that he is just a man like any other person and does NOT posses any Superhuman powers at all. But, Batman is still classed as a Superhero becus firstly he has a Costume, secondly he fights villains, criminals and such and helps people just like other Superheros. And these traits also define what makes a Superhero.
