I remember when Tommy and his group rehearsed in our living room before a program in 1960.I was awed by the perfect tune in their voices.Roxbury Massachusetts.He had one guitar player then who played a brown and white Kay.I plan on writing a book of these experience from 1959-1970.A lot of wonderful memories with Rev Huston Crayton Sr and Jimmy Early Byrd Gospel Promoters.Byrd went on to work for James Brown radio.He is pastoring in Seatle now.

When I was ten years old I would get in the car to show the Singing Stars(Tommy) where the Church was that my dad had them booked in(1959).They would come to the promoters house in those days before the program for breakfast,a nap and maybe a little rehearsal.
