  • Love the video, excellent info and shows me where I want to take my HTPC! My question is how are you streaming HD television wirelessly? I heard u say you have comcast, so you are paying for an HD package from your cable provider and somehow broadcast it wirelessly though the house? How do you pick up the signal on your HTPC, as in what tuner are you using? Thanks again for the video!

  • @benbujwah In addition, how would you go about streaming these recorded shows/movies to other hdtv's around the house. In effect, could you stream from the mythtv box to multiple tv's simultaneously and wirelessly? Sorry, for so many questions, your setup is really intriguing me! Thanks

  • Thanks so much for your video. It's tough to find quality videos that go into this kind of depth without adding dumb/boring details, so I say great job. I notice you're around Jacksonville... I'm here in Orange Park. Was curious if you are a member of JaxLUG? I am, and would be very interested in seeing a presentation on MythTV if you'd have any interest in that. Feel free to send a message via the LUG mailing list if you want to discuss it there. Thanks!

  • @penguin0k Thanks penguin0k. I am in jax and I've been to the jaxlug meetings a few times but it was years ago. I should start to go again, I had a good time:)

  • Great video.

  • Awesome, I have a new project!

  • Good video. Thanks! Which Linux distribution are you using? Do you have a separate machine for front end and back end?

  • @imtopher It's Ubuntu LTS. Same machine for front and back end. I didn't want 2 machines running all the time so I made this in to a beast:)

  • @imtopher Thanks! I'm running the frontend and backend all on 1 server (the one in the video). I might switch later but this is pretty beefy and does it all without a hitch. It's running ubuntu LTS.

  • very nice

  • Nice job nichos79!
