I make cap gun powder based guns alot! Check out my channel, they are under the video title, zip gun #1-#5. Just a tip,the sawdust looking stuff attached to the papers of the caps make a poof and a lot of smoke, put them in your gun they help allot because the smoke helps build pressure, so you wont have to use as many caps!

@ballhawk210 A co2 cart varies in shots depending how much gas your airgun uses. A heavily modded Crosman 2240 can get about 15-20 shots when a Daisy 008 will get about 90 shots.

Not going to say no. But I just replaced the barrel using the trigger/hammer from cap gun be carfull I made a very short barreled with a 1/2 inch barrel I shot fine a few times then the barrel blew up in my hand I did not get hurt. But still could be bad with metal shrapnel flying

I have a great way to make actual shells, that uses the cap as a primer and either Cap powder or BP for propellant, I can pre-make many of these rounds load and shoot, (no muzzle loading involved), then the shells are re-loadable because they are made of brass. These little apx. 3mm shells would work great in a converted cap gun and it would be so cool if I could just find the god darn proper cap gun.

@Nwest82 I have the link in your inbox. Toy caps are very dangerous for use as a primer to easy to set off wile loading. But its nice to know if you ever needed to used this to put food on the table. I am planing on buying a tap&cap percussion cap maker. It uses roll type paper caps & old soda cans. Paper caps take a bit more to set them off.

I type in keychain pellet gun on google to see if there was one that existed,after watching this video I just relized I have all the parts to build one except Ill need to pick up caps,I sure one cap should be able to fire bb,pellets need more power since they grip onto the barrel,well I want to see if there was super small pellet gun you could pump up,gun powerder aint so bad

It just doesnt make sense to me. The little cap is on the other side of the barrel, but somehow the hammer sparks off the gun powder inside the barrel?

It works the same way a black powder gun work's the spark from the cap lights the gunpowder on fire then boom sends the pellet out. no where for the gas to go.but to push the pellet out of the gun.

Well it all started with my parlor pistol wondering if i could use it to just shoot caps for fun.then I wondered if A toy cap would light A match and it did. then I seen your vid about taking the powder out from the caps and then i shot the parlor pistol loaded with A pellet and thoght wow bet I could make A gun that just use's caps I made A nicer looking one since then but blew up in hand cracked the barrel using to much cap powder two 8 shot rings worth but the barrel came from A cheap bb gun
