How we feel and act and react moment by moment in the world is based upon our beliefs. A thing doesn't have to be true, all that's needed is for you believe that it's true and you'll feel that it's true and act accordingly.

I disagree, I think it depends on HOW you perceive God. If God is a higher being you use as an excuse for your actions or if you see God as your ticket out of taking responsibility for you own life, yes, God is for the weak minded. You really have to listen to them to understand what's being said. You can't hold onto some kind of belief and say THAT IS TRUTH AND NOTHING IS BEYOND THIS and then watch something like this. Is it true or not. What I know is that a few centuries ago the earth was flat and was at the center of the universe and anyone saying otherwise was out of their mind. Being an interpretation it is unfalsafiable and therefore unscientific, and on top of that, they bungle the interpretation up to mean "A HUMAN observer collapses the wave function" which is untrue. I work in a neurolinguistics lab where we're studying, basically, how the brain interprets language, and I can tell you, even after years and years of research being done, the majority of scientific "fact" is not fact at all, but merely theory. If we can't prove that there IS something else contributing to the energy in the physical world, we certainly can't prove that there ISN'T...
You'll know the difference between a scientific theory and an hypothesis then. Quite why you've felt the need to talk about facts is beyond me. This is an invitation to everyone or anyone to see an artist theory on the physics of light and time!
This theory is based on two postulates
1. Is that the quantum wave particle function Ψ represents the forward passage of time ∆E ∆t ≥ h/2π itself

When physicists use the word "OBSERVER" they are refering to a non counsciess "MEASURING DEVICE" that collides photons against electrons. Its sad that people of faith can't see that science isn't an enemy, but a means to find a truth, a truth to answer the big questions. Sciences help us put more understanding to the things we can't yet grasp. Whats the biggest question we have right now? it seems to me that would be how did we come to be. They may appear to be two words of the same epistemological category, but Truth and Reality (as goals) make all the difference between the religious and the as-it-is-empirical stand points.

I disagree, I think it depends on HOW you perceive God. If God is a higher being you use as an excuse for your actions or if you see God as your ticket out of taking responsibility for you own life, yes, God is for the weak minded. However, if God becomes your reason for dedicating your life to helping others with love in your heart, how could that indicate a weak mind? Was mother Teresa weak? Just something to consider. :)

However there are dozens, if not hundreds, of apocryphic texts that approach religion and spirituality from a very different angle. The knowledge in some of these texts, for instance in the gnostic gospels, is very closely related to sciences such as quantum-mechanics and noetics. This is, of course, completely seperate from any modern organized religion.

You really have to listen to them to understand what's being said. You can't hold onto some kind of belief and say THAT IS TRUTH AND NOTHING IS BEYOND THIS and then watch something like this. Whether it be Religion or Modern Science, both sides hold strongly to what they think is truth. If you do such a thing, then you could miss some new information to help us grow, and instead destroy it by dispelling it before really looking at it.

Just because one Interview is suspect, doesn't make them all suspect. Ramtha/JZ Knight aside, some of these people actually do scientific method experiments with this stuff. AKA the hadron colider, brain scans, bio chemistry, etc. i agree though, don't just take on blind agreement; test it, examine your own life, I have and I found most of it to be true. I have seen and continue to see myself addicted to emotional states, my life looping etc. Just because it's new, doesn't make it wrong.

@TheFifthApes I'm not a scientist. I'm a philosopher. I look for wisdom and I found it it here as well as in The Secret. I found these same ideas echoed in Hegel, Descartes, and to a lesser degree Kant. I say again, what if even some of this is true? What if we are living our lives just to chase our addictions to our emotions?
If even one sentence in this entire movie can help us live happier lives then why not listen? What do we have to loose?

What if even some of it is true? Well, what if there's a dragon living in my garage? If I have no evidence to support my claim, do you have any reason to believe it?
What do we have to lose? Well, considering this is a propoganda film for a cult, I'd say quite a bit of your sanity.

@corysarz The fundimental problem with this movie is that the confuse the INTERPRETATION of quantum theory, with quantum theory itself. Being an interpretation it is unfalsafiable and therefore unscientific, and on top of that, they bungle the interpretation up to mean "A HUMAN observer collapses the wave function" which is untrue. Right now, my toaster is collapsing particle wave functions. I guess my toaster is creating reality too.

@TheFifthApes i think alot of this is thoery,no one can ever be to sure of anything and no one has all the answers and there have been plenty of times where scientist just knew they were right and ere mistaken like evolution 4 example so dont be so quick to discount anything,there is always possibility,this is just another way of interpreting something.

Its not the accumulated knowled of past thinkers, experiences, or knowledge as a whole...if that were so, you forgot Gustav Jung, because he was the most influential in your degree of studies; the unconcious collective thought.
This movie is for consideration, not to be taken as a whole. If it were so, then why do we still carry nuclear arms? In other words, if every scientest or even 50% of them took in account the efficacy of this movie, then why are we still fighting humans vs humans???

It's also worth looking up some lectures by worlds leading physicists such as Richard Feynman, Steven Weinberg and also check out 'A Universe From Nothing' by Lawrence Krauss, AAI 2009.

As I was watching "What the Bleep do We Know," I became enamored with the rather potentially revolutionary ideas being presented. However, when the film got to the credits and JZ Knight was identified as channeling "Ramtha," a supposed 35,000 year old Atlantean warrior spirit - entity who conquered two thirds of the world (25,000 years before the dawn of the Neolithic Revolution), I was forced to debunk most of the film's content as "pseudo science" and "New Age nonsense."

I can see why you might think that but I completely understand it. It's just that it's taken the scientific (and true) standpoint and added mumbo jumbo to it.
It's the latest in a long line of people trying to take advantage of the fact that people don't understand quantum mechanics and so dress up nonsense beliefs in it and pretend science therefore backs them up.
Far from not understanding it, I see it for what it is.

Yeah but to me "the rest" is true too. What i was trying to say is that there is no True true, there is only peoples oppionions of true. Once upon a time everyone thought the world was flat, and would have killed because they thought they were right. That's a different definition of true. I mean true as in real. For example, we know it is true that the world exists. That people guessed it was flat does not mean it was. That we measured it and observed it not to be flat means it isn't.

And what exactly is "true" to you, uptonleft3? Most scientific theory is simply that... Theory. I work in a neurolinguistics lab where we're studying, basically, how the brain interprets language, and I can tell you, even after years and years of research being done, the majority of scientific "fact" is not fact at all, but merely theory. If we can't prove that there IS something else contributing to the energy in the physical world, we certainly can't prove that there ISN'T...
