Was that Bob Costas on the PBP? In 1981 Costas had already joined NBC and was a fill-in when Dick Enberg had a conflict with the college basketball Saturday Games of the Week (which were on NBC in 1981).

Gotta say what a dunk, from listening to old school college basketball clips, Dick Vitale will always be a poor mans version of AL MCGUIRE. One MCGUIRE was a little loud, but he wasn't obnoxious and two he won a championship as a coach.

I remember watching this game live at 14 years old. I freaked then and I freak now. The most amazing play I have ever seen. Minny lobs the pass from behind the half court line and Bowie (who has hustled down court on the break) skys a good two feet above the rim to haul in the pass and flushes it home!
