  • That's is one of the easiest pitch to throw, I throw one and no one knew what it was

  • It's real. Nuff said.

  • U guys hav it all wrong, the gyro ball drops it like a faster splitter with more drop.(I have thrown it)

  • @FatFatBob14 That's not a gyro, that's a Shootball, or "Shuuto" and Dice-K throws this pitch, not the "gyroball."

They have books in Japanese about how to throw these pitches.

  • he was just trying to impress that reporter...

  • In the future people would be able to throw this pitch. humans are still evolving so shut the fuck up you amatuers

  • @DemonXY2J d

  • @DemonXY2J THE GYROBALL EXISTS DICE-K CAN THROW ONE SO CAN OTHER JAPANESE PLAYERS

  • @Bronxyankees1998 Woaw easy with the caps bro i know it exist

  • @DemonXY2J sorry caps lock was on

  • Hahahaha eat those words EAT THEM!!!!!!

  • his motion is right, his theory on the movement is wrong, he believes he will have the same movement as Dice-K who is a RHP but CJ is a LHP

  • Ya he needs its cause he sucks

  • Ummm ever hear of Daisuke Matsuzaka!? Jeez nobody gives him credit for throwing the gyroball!! Plus CJ threw it wrong lol

  • @calebzbleeding1 dice-k cant throw a gyroball.

  • Sounds like a combination of a slider till last second then pronation like a 2-seamer making the ball spiral.

  • Your throwing a slider dumbass or 2 seamfast ball

  • 0:14

    yeah right

  • the first american major not the first american

  • cj either pitches wonderfully or scary! but dont get me wrong! LOVE THE RANGERS AND ALL THE PLAYERS- THAT INCLUDES (CJ WILSON)

  • to back up my boy bigljlong...

cj wilson gets paid 1.8 million dollars to pitch 2-3 innings every other day!

its not that hard to throw strikes!

when you get paid that much and blow 5 run leads you need to stop working on your dumbass "gyroball"!!!

i am a huge texas fan and everytime i see him come in with a 5+ run lead i cant rely on him!

oh and margaritacansino how about you use all of his attempts this year which is 18 and he's blown 6 of them!

    1.8 million dollars!!!!!!

  • @tx26fan

Well, one more pitch means one more thing they have to guess. It basically drops, but this freaking spin - you cannot tell whether it's a cruve, a screwball or anything. And the worst is that it's neither a cruve, nor a screwball.

You'll swing more than a couple before getting it right. You also have to consider that he can pitch fastballs, cruveballs, etc... When is it the gyro? That's freaking hard to read, so hard some Japanese pitchers spend their game pitching it.

  • @tx26fan Guess you're eating your words now!

  • @rinosaur7 Holy jump on the bandwagon. We're 30 games in the season and he's all of the sudden the best there ever was? We havent even got into summer yet where it reaches 100 degrees in a outdoor park. Get a clue.

  • how about you focus on other things like not blowing every game you pitch in. that would be helpful.

  • ok numb nuts, c.j has only lost 2 games out out of his last like 17 attempts? get a clue.

  • ur very rude u suck

  • No one ca throw the Gyroball..... even Daisuke Matsuzaka says he can't throw it...... He said that his gyroball is just a slider that slipped

  • no foo, daisuke said he thinks he doesnt throw it. but he actually can

  • to you guys who claim that the gyro is a super breaking ball, THE GYROBALL IS NOT A BREAKING PITCH! for god's sake please read an article or two about the gyro, and you will be interested to realize that putting a bullet spin (a 'gyro' spin) on a ball will only stabilize a pitch, not cause it to break. what makes it so effective is that it creates an illusion to the batter, as it looks like a breaking ball. yet goes straight. the gyro is NOT a miracle pitch, but if thrown right can be effective.

  • i really throw it i have thrown it in games and it makes the batters go beserk

  • your talking about a slurve

  • he should learn to throw strikes first

  • mine really breaks 2-3 feet and drops like a ball rolling off a table

  • .. wow ppl these say they can throw gyro ball do u know how hard it is to throw gyro ball? dont just think tht u can throw it..

  • can you say Elbow Surgery???

  • this is the greatest pitch ever, i struck out 5 batters in a row with it

  • i can throw it

  • but urs is for leftys

  • rightys can throw it too

  • so did he throw it yet the gyro I mean if any of you have vids of it pls upload it

  • THERE IS NO LAW OF PHYSICS THAT SAYS GYROBALL IS IMPOSSIBLE!

how do you think bullets travel straight and fast? The barrel is spiraled inside so that the bullet travels in a drill motion. Its only obvious that the same can be applied to a baseball. The only skepticism is whether a human being can actually throw a ball with such a ridiculous spin and at the same time, put a lot of power behind the ball, considering the difficult grip.

  • @pixma10 it's possible i've found a grip still testing it tho but i need to find someone willing the screw there arm to try it. i found it for over the top and 3/4 side arm still trying. anyway the only way to really find out is to ask the people who created it

  • @Freepepsi42 It exists alot oF JAPANESE pitchers including Matsuzaka can throw it

  • @pixma10 the Gyroball exists cuz ive seen it b4, Japanese pitchers throw it

  • its true that it might not be possible, but how the fuck can you prove it unless you've trained and tried to learn it. no offense, and i truly respect american baseball players, but its true that a lot of americans are biased because they have no respect for japanese baseball. they think that the few good players like ichiro and daisuke made it but the rest are in a shit league...i bet if we went back 150 years, they woulda thought a knuckle ball or a curve was impossible too...

  • wow, she was FYYYNE!

  • this is coming from the worst closer in baseball ... cant respect anything CJ says

  • hmmm, are you a closer in mlb? are you a closer in minor league? hmmm stfu

  • @pixma10 umm yeah he is

  • this guy is exactly right its not real until u can throw it and i learned a new pitch that is unkown and it's a real nasty pitch...and i have a vid on how to throw it

  • nicee

  • a ha ha ha, kinsler cracks me up. they were all laughing at guardado in last nights game at kc after he face planted, HA! that was great stuff.

  • lol i hope he gets it, but dont mess up your arm!

  • i believe its real, and once he uses it in a game, the batter wont see it comin

  • CJ, your pitch, "the cork," cant be a gyro because normally gyroballs dont have that "reverse cutter" break like yours does. I think the spin is changed in some way. It looks like the Shuuto, which is NOT a gyro (William Carroll can suck it.)

  • sweet. and kudos to c.j. for attempting something new.

  • Officer Spanklin returns... I love it. Along with the blank look on her face when C.J. says "pronated."

  • time's running out, CJ! lets see that gyro of yours!(Btw, have you talked to tezuka about your gyro, cuz im sure he didnt say that the gyro was a "rising cutter.")
