Americans have many female soldiers but why aren't they allowed to rank up more than this? -.- Even some math teacher in my old school is ranked higher than her. Actually she was ranked highest on Finnish Defense Forces, but it's not that big deal in Finland when women leads men. Our president and ex-prime minister are females and so are most of the school principals

The black berets are what we call the regular Army. The other special units like the Airbourne, Ranger, and Special Forces have different colors. Airbourne units have the Maroon beret, Rangers have the Tan beret and the SF have the Green beret

(thats what they are known as) Any soldiers can have a tab of any of those names but doesn't mean they can wear those special beret unless their unit are authorized to. (for example, if I went to ranger school and got a ranger tab, or SF school and have a tab, I go back to a my unit, and if that unit is not a ranger bat or SF group, I can't wear a tan or green beret.
