they should just go dye their hair rather than wearing a wig, it looks more natural if it was dyed

@NeKuFuRu True, but a wig is better if you're cosplaying someone with really long hair like Chi from Chobits. Or if you have black hair and the character you're cosplaying has blonde hair, it's definitely easier and less harmful to your hair to use a wig. And some people might not be allowed to dye their hair, or might not want to because they like their hair the way it is.

@LaZella I know that two Swiss girls won the collective price (the price delivered by the four CLAMP members), i.e. the Grand Price ! they were Sakura and Shaolan from CCS. Their costumes were beautiful, but it's their performance that topped it all !

They're Tsubasa versions of Sakura and Syaoran. Those are outfits you see in the chapter opening pictures and the art pieces. They're outfits from the Infinity Arc.

Japan Expo 2009 had like 8 cosplay contests over 4 days ! that's huge

About the price I guess it was between 10 and 16 euros depending on the day...

It's the most expensive one in france, but there is a hell lot of content inside this event. So depends on what you're looking for ^^

For this contest they won some exclusive goodies, never shipped out of japan and in limited editions, of course signed by CLAMP

that's just for this contest.

the other contests get dvds, mangas... stuff like and sometimes a trip to japan like we had this year.

I hope you'll be able to come see our event one day ^^
