  • Adam just great to here a silver bell !! . What a jem . Though the one Kevin made you is pretty wonderful as well . All the best , Guy Wolff

Bob great to see you after so many years . That looks a lot like the James Ashborn banjos made up in Torrington .in the 1850's . About 20 miles from Bucks Rock ! Yours Guy Wolff (the potter)

  • Adam's technique is really quite brilliant

  • Gee; I didn't realize I had been put up here! Forgot I had done that with Bob! Not bad....

  • 5stringkid, this is Adam Hurt. The banjo I played here is an 1881-patent H.C. Dobson Silver Bell. I'll send you a private message to discuss banjo sounds, if you're still interested....

  • Thanks for that, Adam, I was also wondering. You might agree that the touch of the artist is the most important component of sound, and you are to the banjo as Buddy Emmons is to the steel guitar, Master of Touch and Tone.

  • Can anyone tell me about the banjo Adam Hurt s playing in this video? I've learned how to play on a starter banjo and now I want to upgrade to a nice instrument. The sound of Hurt's banjo here is exactly what I want. Any pointers on the banjo itself or getting that kind of tone?

  • this is a really nice video!

  • Good job Adam and Cathy! Lovely instruments.
