The last time I checked the spread offense is being used in the NFL. Also the 2007 Patriots used the spread to take them to the Super Bowl and the only undefeated regular season in over 30 years.
I have never been a real Gator fan, but I am an Urban Meyer fan. I saw how he took an average Utah team and in just a few years turned it into a BCS buster and the bane of the PAC 10.
There are two types of spread offense...the kind of spread offense the pats use is 5 WR's and throw the ball...the gators run the option type of spread offense...two totally different things dude...urban meyer wouldn't make it into the nfl because he relies on the option...and we have seen that when lou holtz tried to bring the option into the nfl....it doesn't work...and tebow will not be able to run in the nfl like he does in college...and he relies on running the football...

The Cowboys are only as strong as their weakest link and defensively their weakest link is their secondary, If you commit to going for the ball you better get it and if you don't get it you better make the tackle. TM is fast but he always seems to be a step behind, the cowboys still need to address a weak secondary, lets hope they can do better than pacman or that those guys can step up

Defense played good? I watched Marshall run around missing Cowboys left and right with half of them just giving up. Defese is one of only a few things on that team that hasnt completely fallen apart. The Cowboys are actually very similair to the Giants, strong running game behind a good O line, good defense, good special teams, average recievers, the only difference is the tough disciplined coaching the Giants have and that Eli Manning makes the key throws he needs to make to win games and Tony Romo folds. It was Garretts fault the play call for the last 2 plays of the game were to throw to a #4 receiver. The playcalling the entire game was garbage. Im not saying Romo isnt completely off the hook, but Garrett was aweful.

Urban Meyer has one of the best minds in football today as well as being a great judge of character and tallent.
I was not a fan of TIm Tebow before I heard Jim Rome say "if a person spends ten minutes with Tim Tebow his life is better for it". That is the biggest compliment I have ever heard one person give another, so I started to look into Tim and I was extreamly impressed.

well so does pete carroll, and steve spurrier did at one time...but they couldn't make it in the nfl...meyer is a college coach...he will not succeed if he went to the nfl...and like i said...he is a great college coach...one of the best recruiters there is...and im sure tim tebow is a great guy....but if he plans on playing in the nfl he needs to play full back, linebacker, tight end...something like that...because he isn't the nfl style qb...

Jimmy Johnson was a NCAA coach and he did well with the Cowboys. Also when Meyers was head coach of the Utah Utes they seldome if ever ran the option.
I believe that if Urban and Tim became Cowboys I would bet that in the next decade half of all the Super Bowls will be won by the Cowboys.

The last time I checked the spread offense is being used in the NFL. Also the 2007 Patriots used the spread to take them to the Super Bowl and the only undefeated regular season in over 30 years.
I have never been a real Gator fan, but I am an Urban Meyer fan. I saw how he took an average Utah team and in just a few years turned it into a BCS buster and the bane of the PAC 10.

There are two types of spread offense...the kind of spread offense the pats use is 5 WR's and throw the ball...the gators run the option type of spread offense...two totally different things dude...urban meyer wouldn't make it into the nfl because he relies on the option...and we have seen that when lou holtz tried to bring the option into the nfl....it doesn't work...and tebow will not be able to run in the nfl like he does in college...and he relies on running the football...

The Cowboys are only as strong as their weakest link and defensively their weakest link is their secondary, If you commit to going for the ball you better get it and if you don't get it you better make the tackle. TM is fast but he always seems to be a step behind, the cowboys still need to address a weak secondary, lets hope they can do better than pacman or that those guys can step up

Tnew is no more than 6' while Marshall is a nice 6'4.
To me it wasnt the fact that Marshall caught the ball it was the fact no one was able to tackle him.

Defense played good? I watched Marshall run around missing Cowboys left and right with half of them just giving up. Defese is one of only a few things on that team that hasnt completely fallen apart. What about Tashard Choice.You speak to much as a fan and not an analyst. And wtf is that TankNPure talking about. JJ is going to trade for a good WR. honestly this team needs a whole new coaching staff. Garrett used to be good but now hes just a joke, and phillips...well dont get me started with his dumbass. But i got a good feeling that jerry jones is going to make a trade for a good WR. i mean we all know how he is. Also Chris Mcalister is a free agent. he was a monster and surprisingly no1 has picked him up yet. Our secondary is terrible. Jerry Jones is just another Al Davis.

Your sorta right about some stuff. Romo being Romo aint so bad. I still think that he needs to know when to not be himself do. The old Romo you want is that player who throws deep balls down field. That is not saying much cause he has had half success doing that. Romo cannot be Romo all the time, but he needs to be a combination player that knows when to be in the pocket and when not to be. Being out of the pocket is not always a good thing.

I agree with Shango. But you still don't get it though. I wouldn't want a QB that cant sit still in the pocket. If you can't be consistent in the pocket, then the QB is no good. He must learn to balance his abilities. Having said that, as of right now you do seem bound for another season with out a playoff win. And maybe with a choking 0-3 Romo.

Also on the brandon marshal play the guy is just a very talented athlete... He 's bigger than terrence newman(marshal) and he just made a play, Wich is what tony romo shouyld have been doing.. Nice video, appreciate how you keep it clean and respectful. I agree Wade has improved the D but Wade is like Norv Turner. He's a coordinator not a head coach. Cowboys need a tough not nice kind of coach like Landry, Jimmy and Parcells. No Campo's, Gailey's or Switzers ever do well here. I wish we had Singletary or Shanahan. I love Romo, he's a great talent but he needs a Mike Holmgren to his Brett Favre or his talent will just go to waste. Somebody needs to be in his ear after every bad play.

WOW I agree to disagree! I'm sorry Shango but you can not play defense for a whole half and expect them not to break down. I loved their effort on defense. I do not appreciate the fact that the whole "speed" thing when it comes to draft day doesn't mean shit to Jerry and company. I love all the QB views with the HD cam. What I see are three recievers that can't separate. I can see it in Crayton's body language, and along with an average QB, this is the result. D. Jax was available, Manny too!

romo needs to read the defense better and know which corner to attack. If you watch the last two plays of the game watch Miles Austin beat his guy of the line for a wide open TD pass, but no romo goes left. thats were Austin should've went back to the huddle and said look i beat my guy look my way cause the next play he again beats him for another TD pass but romo goes left again why i dont know..... Miles u need to use the T.O. voice and tell Romo get me the ball on situations like that.

I don't think Jason Garrett isn't gonna get 3 coaching jobs this off season.
That was a piss poor performance. WTF the alltitude made Romo overthrow everyone. His fault, His Loss, guys were open and he simply missed them over and over again. Oh and WTF kind of pass was that at the end. You don't throw to Money Witten. Was he even on the field? I miss Jessica. She was fun to watch I always liked her. She wasn't the problem.

At least the Cowboys do not have Jason Campbell and a QB and Jim Zorn as a coach. I almost wish the Redskins would move to a new town so I could find a new team. If this was zombie land Jack Kent Cooke would come back to kill the whole organization.
PS: Romo Sucks, even so the Cowboys will likely beat the Redskins twice this season (again)

The Cowboys are actually very similair to the Giants, strong running game behind a good O line, good defense, good special teams, average recievers, the only difference is the tough disciplined coaching the Giants have and that Eli Manning makes the key throws he needs to make to win games and Tony Romo folds. Dont get me wrong im a Cowboys fan for life but the truth is the truth, Tony looks like a shy school girl out there.

The Cowboys got away from the run and that's when there offence started shutting down, if the would've ran it on those 3 and outs they would've got the first but on two failed drives it was throw throw throw, we get the ball back: throw throw throw, throw after throw, when our running backs are averaging 15 yards a carry.

Yes broncos won (i am a fan) but Dallas had a chance at the end. Romo made a play and they got close... BUT they did 2 EXACT plays at the end... 2 slant plays to champ bailey.... you cant do that... Champ is the best cornerback in the league and he had a interception already, i dont know what they were doing.. Anyways good job broncos

List of problems in Big D in order of importance:
1. Coaching. Shango thats fine if you think Wade has the D on track but lets face it, Kyle Orton is one of the worst starting QBs in the league
2. FELIX JONES PLEASE STAY HEALTHY
3. Will one of our receivers get some separation??? GEEZUS - yesterday was 1st game we missed TO (and BADLY)
4. Tony Romo (but also has to do with coaching). If you ask a player "not to lose the game" for you ... guess what chances are he wont WIN it for you either!

If Hurd catches the ball this situation is entirely different.

It was Garretts fault the play call for the last 2 plays of the game were to throw to a #4 receiver. The playcalling the entire game was garbage. Im not saying Romo isnt completely off the hook, but Garrett was aweful.

We're still a talented team in every position, but it's the coaching staffs job to bring out the talent in the form of play calling and victories. It's still early, but we're in a must win situation next week vs KC, with out a doubt. Good video shango.

Why do we need to make a comeback when we already have the lead, twice that has happened now. Broncos and Giants. Defense can't stop them when we need them to. Play calling was terrible at the end. Secondary can't cover or tackle. Flo has to go. If he is not getting a penalty then he is getting Romo killed. Cowboys are still my team, they just have some work to do on all sides of the ball.

Good points Shango, blame goes on inept OC in this one. How you walk away from the running game in the second half is beyond me, especially when you have success in the first half. The play calling at the goal line was ridiculous...your 4th WR on there #1 corner is a mis-match not in our favor. I'm ready for coaching change...too bad won't happen till end of the year.

Jason Garrett picked apart this defense without even seeing it. that's the problem. we could of ran the outside SO many times, yet he decided to throw the damn ball. yes, we got positive yardage when we did that, but we REALLY need to run it more. our MAIN weapon is back and he's hyped.

Big money receiver Roy Williams not on the field. Kept throwing the ball to Hurd in the red zone when Bailey was on him, don't know about all that. The fade to Martellus wouldn't have been a bad idea if they would've tried that again. Truth of the matter is...if T.O. was here we would've won because Romo wouldn't have had to hold on to the ball forever waiting for nobody to get open like he did.

I agree with you 100%! Why throw to Hurd with Bailey on him? Champ Bailey is in my opinion one of the top 3 corners in the league. The Boys threw to him 12 times yesterday. Why? With the game on the line, Roy should of been in there, not Hurd as your #1 receiver.

This is a talented team, but NOT talented enough to come out and NOT EXECUTE on offense.
You CAN NOT win football games when you consistently shoot yourself in the foot on offense. They seemingly have a non-shalant way about themselves when they have a poor drive, as they are good enough to score NEXT time, and it doesn't happen.
These Cowboys have a LONG way to go...They are a .500
