  • BEAUTY.

  • they say snooki created the bump bullshit! look at this chick!

  • GREAT SONG! AND GREAT MOVIE! On my top 10 fave movies. (Im only 13)

  • this movie is one of my all time favs- SO adorable! thanks for posting!

  • What does Judy Garland have to do with Family Guy?

  • I don't understand why Judy isn't put in the same category with Grace Kelly and Audrey Hepburn and those women when it comes to beautiful old hollywood stars. I think she's just gorgeous!

  • @noneya85 Because Grace stole her oscar for A Star is Born....haha...But she is the eight greatest actress according to AFI and Grace is 13....:D!!

  • Judy and this film will ALWAYS warm my heart.

  • Judy Garland- wspaniała

  • One of my all time favorite movie moments -- as originally shot, though. Fading out to black before she finishes the last phrase, and hence, missing the wonderful closeup of her through the lace curtain is just criminal. I don't think Vincente Minnelli would have approved.

  • @ericstephenjacobs I agree with you.

  • Love! she is such a beautiful person ,so cute!

  • True talent! this is pure gold!

  • Hollywood is overated now....what the heck happened to the talent?

  • I love Judy! Like if your a Youngster like me and you just love this kind of music and movies!! :D

  • F you, to that one disliker..

  • I see there's one person who doesn't have a boy next door. GOSH stop hating on the song its not nice.

  • This song currently describes how I feel right now.

I'm a teenage girl and I LOVE Judy! My musically oblivious friends don't understand why I love her. Then again, they wouldn't know talent if it assaulted them. She, Aaron Fechter and Michael Jackson are my main inspirations (Judy is always #1 though :)) She died WAY too young.

  • Love the song and love her voice!

  • this is my favorite song in the whole movie!

  • Great video- though how is this different from the actual film version? "Close-up"? I don't get it. It was filmed with the same look.

  • love it <3 again ^^

  • Kill that disliker (the only one).

  • who disliked this? really?

  • @cuteredhead8 One person doesn't have a boy next door.

  • I love Judy! RIP my lovely, the world lost a jewel when you passed!

  • fabulous.sweet and lovely.thats how we remember judy.many thanks.

  • Im a woman. And my instinct should be to be jealous and call her ugly, but Judy Garland is so gosh darn pretty and her voice and look of innocence brings me to tears. I love the music of her time.

  • @ikarai1 lol

  • @ikarai1

Al through her life she was told by the producers at MGM that she was ugly compared to the other stars, being told this constantly made her need constant reassurance and because of this her mental health wasn't all in great shape.

  • @TheChillyAcademicIV seriously? i had no idea abt the MGM ppl - but i hope the producers are all looking embarrassed now, wherever they are. look at how many fans she still has today compared to the other stars of her time!

  • @heartxtime

Yep, it's also became of MGM that she died.

they gave her drugs to make her peform better (so she would'nt be tired so easily) and she then came to be dependant on drugs which then took her life.

  • @TheBoardway4us and the jerk in the wizard of oz lol

  • Aargh, but why did you start fading out on her before she'd finished?! :(

  • great song, judy garland was the best!! ans the movie too!! i love judy garland, the movie and the song!

  • to the one person who disliked this: HOW CAN YOU DISLIKE JUDY GARLAND?!

  • thes is butelfull go judey

  • R.I.P. Hugh Martin, who, among his other works, composed the score for Meet Me In St. Louis. Martin became a close friend of Judy Garland and was her accompanist at many of her concert performances in the 1950s including her legendary stint at the Palace Theater. He passed away on 3/11/11 at the age of 96.

  • they just dont make em like they used to anymore. She had real beauty.

  • they are in the move lol

  • I'm sorry, but why are your videos called "closeups"? They look exactly the same as in the movie.

  • Forget Snooki! Judy Garland created the bump! :)

  • Comment removed

  • she was such a sweet person

  • adorable hehe

  • seriously if i don't get thins movie for Christmas i will cry until i do...

  • i ame opsest with her!

  • this song is adorable. <3

  • She makes it look so easy! A true classic beauty!

  • I was wondering if that is a wig she is wearing or her real hair just colored strawberry blonde? if that is a wig, its very natural looking, its hard to tell.

  • I love her hairstyle, its so simple, and timeless! I wish girls nowadays knew how to be beautiful like this. Shoulder length hair is always timeless. Judy was a beautiful girl, she had a real beauty inside her, it wasn't fake. it was REAL!

  • What is remarkable about this clip is that it perfectly captures universal teenaged angst. It was released in 1944, depicts a St. Louis family in 1903......and still it resonates as a testament to young love. The emotions are dateless and generations beyond now will still feel them. It touches us because we have all felt that innocent (and yet sensual) longing for "the boy next door".

  • Judy's so beautiful. I just love that hair.

  • Great close up, clip! I've always loved Judy's facial features but when MGM hired Vincente Minnelli & Vincente hired the great Dottie Ponedel to create Judy's new adult look, Judy had Dottie written in as her exclusive makeup artist while at MGM SHE gave us the look that we have come to recognize.Judy loved the way it made her appear so beautiful.Judy used Dottie's technique from then on with just a little tweaking. Judy did look especially beautiful in Lily Mars & Girl Crazy too, before MMISL"

  • This Movie was so Unique the way Vincente Minnelli filmed it. He always seemed to "frame" Judy in her most touching scenes and songs. Either in window and on the trolley when u see her between the two wrought iron bars signifying her heart was held prisoner for the boy next door & at the end when she sings the christmas song she is in the window but pining for her boyfriend and the window she looks out has a look like her heart is locked up. Or on the staircase scene. Minnelli knew how to film

  • I love this movie and song !

  • Equisite.

When she walks toward the window at around 2:40 as the music swells it is almost overwhelming.

  • Love it. Now I have to go watch my DVD of Meet Me In ST LOUIS

  • Judy, if you could hear me.... well I would just like to let you know that you are one of thee most beautiful women on the planet and have an amazing voice. And I dont know one of your films that havent made my heart smile. :) WE LOVE YOU, JUDY!

  • This is a lovely song that I am thinking about doing a song and dance to for competition dancing :))

Could never do it as good as Judy Garland does, obviously but I can always try my best :))

No one can ever replace Judy :))

  • 5-stars!...just beautiful!...color adds so much to film!...ive always chased after long-haired red heads!...(the color looks so autumn)...im 45 I saw this when I was a kid...in 1944...she was only 23... ? ....sigh.../ @ milwaukee

  • I've never seen this before all the way through. I have went and purchased it online on DVD cause I really want to see it lol. Cant wait to watch it now! Love Judy! <3

  • I love Judy!! She is the greatest singer!!

  • It capture's my heart as well. One of my favorites.

  • Judy! Judy! Judy! Up Close and Personal. I'm loving this!

  • Thankyou for posting this, Judy was and still is a legend! :D

  • Is that Judy's actual hair redone, or a wig?

How she sings the addresses is funny and fun to hear.

  • @VideoSam16 Thats a wig she has on. It looks lovely on her though.

  • Very beautiful video, Michele...it's just great...and one of Judy's best songs...thank you! :)

  • This was a very big hit for her on the charts, right?
