    #8 clothesline

    3 clothesline pulleys

  • '

try use digitalcamera is a light weight and easily to use on cable wire

  • and if you screwed up the measurements and made the box to small just saw your camera in half to compensate...

  • BYE!!!

  • backyard fx marathon :P

  • iam from the future u will end ur show and make me kill u

  • Good tip, but sheet metal as a rig and cables instead of weak clothes line would do the trick. ;)

  • Love it. Is there a way to make a more expensive one that can be put higher and a seat? Thanks.

  • anybody who cares i'm making a movie where I need a smooth shot of a roof going down to the ally below and I'm wondering if this would be good for that.

  • @jasonsteel1002 this would be fine

  • Nice tutorial. I've always liked zip line rigs.

  • Fantastic!

  • This was awesome when Eric was doing the show.

  • а я дурак из нержавейки делаю ))

  • 0:53

Look in the backgorund. It says adventure time, before it was even out. That's what I call a dedicated fan.

  • "i'm serious. dOn't sue me" HAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHAA

  • where'd you get that camera

  • Well that was the fastest shopping list I've ever seen.

  • 4:14min

whats the name of this song?

  • this is gonna be easy since my camera is as big as my hand

  • @SMGleader haha same here ( gopro hd hero)

  • noob shit

  • Finally a project I can use the 300ft of 1/8" stainless steel cable bought 2 years ago!

That would be a 300ft long, high angle shot of a boat for my next, and actually first movie beyond 15 seconds... =)

    Thanks for that one!

Use steel cable if your camera isn't made from styrofoam! If you rig up the cable propperly you can safely let it glide quite high without worrying about it colapsing on you. The 1/8" cable I bought have a working load, not totally sure though, of about 300-500 lb!

  • I made two galvanized pipe stands and used Kevlar cable with metal pulley wheels and my camera could sail down the line. It clock up to 20 km/h but I used two people. and you didn't need to hold it.

  • lol keep clicking 4:51

  • @DmpPure dwoing beejesus dwoing beejesusdwoing beejesus dwoing beejesusdwoing beejesus dwoing beejesusdwoing beejesus dwoing beejesusdwoing beejesus dwoing beejesusdwoing beejesus dwoing beejesus

  • Thats obviously a fan lol

  • Online Asian wife search lushfmlk.info

  • what kind of camera was that

  • @healimonster1 unfortunately a camera that would cost you about a $1000 now days. lol.

  • are those magic cards in the back grownd ??

  • Nice trick... have you tried the money making technique posted for free ez-casino(dot)com? It's working pretty well for me!

  • @eusebiaCareyarft thx for the advice, im trying it, working nice

  • i miss eric!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :^(

  • Hey, Indy Mogul! Can you please build a guitar cam???

  • Why not use aircraft cable?

  • lol, this came out on my birthday

  • Hey man, your mouth looks like the mouth of annoying orange! :D

  • Evil Hamster is a fool. You never want to fix it in the mix. Great great sound from the start and your laughing,

  • Anyone who wants to build this would have to slow the video x100 of the original video because all i here is ;adklhg;flkhg;;rlghj;erlhi;aiqrey;c inl

  • can you make a single cable rig please, ive tried for months and have failed please do this for a future build

  • make a tut for a pov helmetcamera :)

    PLEASE!

  • "...IN SPACE."

  • you ou might want to try high strenght climbing or sailing rope to keep the thing from falling

  • I would suggest metal cables for that rope breaking fiasco

  • 0:42 Adventure time.

  • ,ake a Lee Enfield SMLE rilfle...it would be EPIC

  • WHAT IS THAT CAMERA THAT YOU USED

  • Use 550 Paracord, really tough cord that can hold upto 550 pounds before breaking.

  • hey eric i have i camera but the sound sucks. the only input/output is the a/v jack what can i go to get better sound

  • @30958ian ebay its a lifesaver

  • @30958ian You can redo all your sound in post, dub over the voices and do foley sound effects. It sounds great, I do it alot.

  • Eric, what is the camera that you used on the cable cam and how much did it cost, since i need a good camera for my films

  • If you guys want something cheap and very strong I say go with 550 Cord, you can buy 100 ft off of eBay for 10$ from what I saw. It is parachute cord so it's guaranteed to handle what you throw at it.

  • They should have used a Synthetic rope, it's 10X stronger.

  • yeah, but that alone costs more than the total cost of the build. the whole point is that this is a cheap way of doing it. If you can get synthetic rope, then by all means use that.

  • Actually the same length of what he had is $2.97 for nylon at Home Depot.

  • ah, sorry then. my mistake :P I was just looking at prices online, and all I could fine were like 100FT for ridiculous amounts

  • Can you make a pale sick face makeup and skin tisue damaged by radiation makeup affects video?

  • @danny99999999999999 In other words: Edward Cullens make-up and how indiana jones should have looked after hiding in that fridge makeup

  • @danny99999999999999 they did a chemical burn one

  • Kind of interesting how all the tips at the end of the videos are well-spoken, intelligent, younger-looking teenagers.

YouTube convinced my that they were rare.

And, no, I'm not a patronizing asshole, I'm only fourteen. :P

  • As am also fourteen and I completely agree!

  • Go fourteen year-olds!

    I totally agree

  • @DaimyoD0 i agree. like the kids who have no lives and trash talk on xbox and are just plain obnoxious give us 13-15 year olds a bad nam

  • @DaimyoD0 i was the guy at the end of this vid. i'm really young in this

  • MOAR GOAR PLEEZ

  • i love the intro

  • do small cameras work

  • lol pause it on 0:43

  • Whats the song in the Test fil trailer? Please tell me:-)

  • there was a garage band synth sample at the short sound clip @ 1:10

  • Those films are filled with those samples.

  • ok?

  • that swivel chair for a dolly looks a million times easier and just as effective as the one they built. thouth swivel chairs often make noise..

  • Great tutorial! I think I will build one, too. Does anyone of you know, if I could put a Canon XL2 on this cable-cam system?

  • hahah u dont even no how to spell life idiot

  • This can be much cheaper than 30$ however I would think it would be best to have stands rather than trees.

  • How much would a camera like that cost?

  • plz can i know what video effects do you use to get a high quality film ( like the test film trailer)

  • Make one with a cable of steel! Much better!

  • good idea we love making crazy rigs to film with...be creative

  • This is really good. I know that I'm deff gonna have one of my friends check this out for a movie we're gonna make, Thanks for the vid

  • can u show me how to make my pics like the ones in the first few shots?

  • yeah man i want to learn that too

  • hey man im kinda in the process off learning that too and i dont know much but i have made a couple by using google sketch-up its free and you just make you logo and theres a movie mode and you just direct the move ment of the cammera around the logo very basic but ive done some cool ones with it

  • no u wouldnt and the portal gun from portal (a game by valve) is awsomesauce

  • haha... while the americans are getting 'ridiculously cold', im over here in Melbourne, Australia where its currently 41 degrees celcius... (thats 105.8 degrees fahrenheit!)... i think id rather be cold :\

  • omg ... that was to funny and completely original haha ...

that was seriously priceless ... i havent luaghed like that in a while .... really funny

  • This is all fine and good but to much work to find two spots to hang each end from.

  • IN SPACE!

  • hello my name is alex and i live in portugal and i wanted to no how to make a movie with the logo and subtitles.

Tank you for your time: Alex Angel

  • just go to windows movie maker (if you have a pc) go to tools, titles and credits, and find the subtitles option! hope it helps, soniku96!

  • Confusing much... I'll give it a shot.

  • plese make a ak47!!!! for action films!!!!!!! plese we need to talk!

  • indy mogul, can you do a floating effect for semi-cheap. Like when darth vad choaks someone and they float of the ground kinda...

  • That was the Handheld Portal Device?

  • you guys gotta help me, im a huge fan of the show and i would like to know how to build some stuff from the game gears of war, armor, weapons or anything really, -thanks guys

  • They did a Halo Armour episode. You can just customize the Halo Armour to look more... Gears of War-like.

  • yeah, i already did the halo armor, just looking for an easier way to make gears, thanks for the suggestion though

  • really make a nemesis full body suit

  • we built more or less the same deal but used single steel cable mounted a Mitchell 35. for super speedy dolly move(150'in the air) and never broke. steel cable isn't that expensive.

  • I love that "Super Time Lapse! WOOO!"

  • cool, slow camera works sucks BUT if you were to replace the rope with a strong cable with a MUCH longer length you could probably film it slow, speed up the footage, and add a small motion blur effect PRESTO!!! you got a Sam Rammi camera effect!

  • I think the next build should be a steady cam for cheap...anybody else with me??

  • Yah that would be awesome!

  • Do a google search for

$14 Steadycam "The Poor Man's Steadicam"

  • DUDEKILLERS, I need to make robins utility belt under 68 dollers

  • I really like bfx and Indy mogul but 3/4 time in the budget there is scrap something or left overs. Could you please include this in the price. Btw see my video "Trailer 300 parody". The guys wearing underwears. Not part of the video, only the cameraman and editor.. THX Bfx

  • awesome, i like the idea of a single line system myself, but i could see using your setup(with slight mods) in some of the places we 4x4 and camp...

    Thanks for the nice idea!

    Peace, Johnny

  • he's not kidding check out bluedude1044's videos they are intense and "ALEX" from the end is in it (alex = bluedude1044

  • that is so good

  • It would be cool to see more footage of the rig in use!

  • thats what the film he was talking about is for, al ot of the camera work was done with this rig.

  • sick.. hvx 200?

  • You guys never let me down keep up the good work. Eric you rock.

  • I miss the old theme song.

  • awesome man!

  • Love how that kid's little viewer submited video was 10 times easier and cheaper. You guys need to hire HIM XD

  • hey thanx man. that kid was me! I uploaded the tip in the summer and its finally on! YAY!

  • popomczowzow is right, yours is way cheaper and we don't need to do anything(why am i so lazy? xD)

  • Lol cool- nice idea too- I'm waaaay too lazy to do their thing, and I don't have 35 bucks just laying around XD

  • yes your featured

  • dude i love your series and want to make your rigs and make videos like your's but my little brother threw away my camera :(

  • WHOO! Portal gun!

  • Next time use nylon rope.

Clothes line rope is the worst choice.

  • Can you make a build where you can "FLY" or at least "WALK" on air. If you do I will put you on my 6 blogs.

  • how many times are you going to run the same commercial in the middle....can they mix it up a bit?...oh ya i used a wagon and a tripod once....

  • alex at the end is Bluedude1044, watch bluedude1044 he's the one at the end!!! i know him i'm pj!!!

  • Upgrade the rig with 1/8" coated cable and use two straps for going around trees with pulleys on each end will make a cable trolley that is strong and reliable.

I know that goes outside of the $30 you guys set for this project.

  • I meant to say damn.

And again, damn. HOW DO YOU DO THESE THINGS!?

  • Samn... Gotta love that intro riff.

    Bwewbwedodedododoo Bwodedodedododo doo

  • Awesome, I don't ever build anything you make, but it is still awesome to see how u make the builds and the cool test films. Indymogul Rocks!!!

  • make a master sword its one of the best game sword ever and the most known probaly

  • Awesome! I'm Gonna Have To Make This One!

  • I'm no professional but if you have a tripod you can pull the legs all the way out and hold them from the bottom so your camera is high up in the air. You can get some nice and steady shots but the problem is since the camera is high up you can not see your screen so it is hard to see what you are recording.

  • Finally, the thing I requested a damn year ago.

  • I have that exact chair in the end with the viewer quick tip lol

  • thats cool and useful, but it doesnt seem worth the work.

  • I'm no professional but if you have a tripod you can pull the legs all the way out and hold them from the bottom so your camera is high up in the air. • Thank you, I have been waiting for this. I originally subscribed because of you building stuff.

  • Don't use a clothes line. Clothes lines aren't elastic enough to stand up to that kind of tension. Get some good nylon rope instead.

  • Rather than using scrap wood for the base, use tin foil! It makes the rig look shiny and futuristic! Also, instead of using a camera, use your imagination :D

  • can u please make an uzi like in the backround because all my toy uzis suck

  • Instead of clothesline rope, you can spend a little more and get coated wire cabling. Also, you will want to build posts you can take with you, attach and use or this thing will have very limited usefulness. You won't always find trees forty feet or less apart. LOL

  • Cool tripod...thingy. How about building an updated version of a robot and/or android? Yeah the last ones where cool and all, but why not revisit that and make them look better? Maybe even use the same technique you used to make the "Halo Armour"? Idk, just a thought.

  • please, I want to see this one-rope system.

  • honestly eric, if you need extra rope strength, try braiding together three. it's three times as strong.

  • Adventure time poster @ :56 <3

  • steve....ur finally back!!!

i was wondering where u were....

  • AWESOME!!!!!!!

  • what is the camera used on the test trailer
