@bludika Faziolis are one of the most costly pianos in the world to produce because of the quality of the materials and the quality of the workmanship! I encourage you to try one when you get a chance!
@Handeltasche Well, Bosendorfer as a company is no more since their bankruptcy.... Now owned by Yamaha, one of the biggest companies in the world... so, if you say "there is only one company.... Yamaha", then maybe that is more accurate!! :)
@crustylion321 - - - It could be that you are right, but someone better tell "Piano Guide" and Larry Fine's "The Piano Book" not to keep rating the Fazioli two full categories higher than Steinway!!! I have a Fazioli store in Vancouver, and the most common piano people trade in to buy a Fazioli is a Steinway. ... and whenever I hear someone say "Steinway is still better" I always end up finding out that they've never played a Fazioli. So, have you ever played a Fazioli?
Steinway ceased to be the world's greatest piano about 60 years ago - if indeed they every actually were. There are several other brands including Fazioli which are all better than Steinway in so many ways I don't even know where to start.
If you're going to sing the praises of something, you should at least learn about it.
Soooo beautiful and warming sounds. What is proven here is that whatever you do you should do because you love it not because of the money. If you put in a lot of effort and good will and love success will come. That's my oppinion. But not only the pianos are great but also Paolo Fazioli himself. Good thing is that I am about 4 hours away from Sacile. Where the Fazioli Concert Hall is. :D So after school I will go there for one day and check that out. :)
@meaning1 yeah, it's because those pianists were really dull. it's pity that fazioli, probably the best piano in the world, will never be played by the world's best or the most exciting pianists like Martah Algerich, Hiromi, or Gonzalo Rubalcaba.
What an amazing piano. I have played on dozens of Steinways old and new, and a few excellent Bosendorfers - but when I heard a Fazioli for the first time, I was totally blown away!! I couldn't believe my ears!!
I agree totally, when you hear the Fazioli the first time its like a superpiano, with extra harmonic sweetness and beauty that immediatley convinces that this piano is a revelation!
Fazioli and Bosendorfer... I wish to be lucky enough to be able to CONSIDER owning one of these.

@thejollyroger2
There is no song being played at 1:16 but if you're referring to the piece that follows it's one of the nocturnes by F Chopin.

@thejollyroger2
it's the first nocturne of Chopins Op. 9, if you mean that, what he played after the second Op. 9.

@mark4ever01 It's Introduction and Rondo Capriccioso op. 28 for violin and piano by Saint-Saens. Really cool piece.
On another note, I'd give my left bollock for one of this.
