Both Tampa and Orlando were put on notice a decade ago that raves are forbidden. I'm sure you can find some junior mickey mouse club stuff but the days of the Florida raves are dead.

Miami has good clubs open late. Theres a Breakbeat Festival in Orlando Sept 3rd $20 free drinks, only open till 2 tho. : (

Okay, I never got to go to the Amp because I was too young and then I moved to Gainesville in '04 to go to college. I heard this place is reopening and I'm very excited. I still have the reddish/pinkish (I think Vol. 2) from DJ Santana...amazing album...anyone know where to order new copies?

@PCoutts1 Oh, wow. I thought I was a tad over the hill! :) In 1996 I used to know a woman who had a son around 18 yrs. old. The woman was in her mid-forties and used to go to parties with us. She once hosted an acid (yes, the chemical, not the music) party at her house for us while her husband (a police officer!!) was away at work during a long night shift. So you're really never too old. I've got the bug in me again, so I'm sorta back in the scene till I get it outta my system. :)

OMG I've got your stuff all over the place in boxes, cd's etc...your stuff was some of the first mixes I ever listened to. Hey! @PCoutts1 Yeah, I "quit" after a few years. The vibe never left me, though. Only just now am I getting back into it. YouTube has all of my favorite tracks. Thankfully people have had the insight to post them here or else they'd get lost forever in the vinyl heaven in the sky. Hey, I thought you said you were too old for it now! Put your feet where your mouth is and dance! :) If I don't go to at least 1 party this year then shame on me!

@PCoutts1 BTW, has the scene changed a lot? I've heard it has, and for the worse. Yeah, those old mixes were insane. I'm slowly growing my collection back. DJ Micro, Scott Henry, Feelgood, Carl Cox, Bassbin Twins, DJ Icey, etc. I was never into hard techno, though. Acid breaks are what send me through the roof.
