You should be grateful that minds all over the world were introduced for Cage the elephant, after all they ain't that bad and now I have ordered both their albums, thanks to a game like Borderlands.

Actually, I think the song is about how people can't get money between employee wages and taxes, but besides that ya, basically their lives suck and they have to resort to mugging and prostitution.

Good songwriting. The lyrics are actually going somewhere, they tell a simple but true story and yet they aren't dumb. The message of the song is also clear but true: For a lot of people, life sucks, yet they try to make the best of it.

And the chorus is downright awesome, let's not forget that.
