  • is this a promo video...or a porno video...that cheesy music in the background...made me think of badly shot porn from the 70's.

  • @MrGreywolfcherokee With the cheezy guys acting like propellers? And the hairstyle with a fat mustage? hahaha

  • Nice vid but you're not going to be able to change the pitch "on the trot" so to speak...and that's usually when you need to do it...while in motion.

  • What is the process that you use to change the pitch? Art those strips of rubber that you are inserting?

  • What's with the sexy music.

  • Great video, I wonder when do we can the fabricate the kind of propeller. In Vietnam we don't have any factories to do this from inhouse design, data analysis, to casting proceed and comissioning. Tks for opening my eyes. Tung Naval Architect Vietnam.

  • How many blades depence on several things. On average, three or four blades is the most effective propellers. This is a relative small "monoblock", with high number of rpm i guess. But like submarine propellers has often 7 or 8 blades. That is less effective and cost more than your neibourhood. But they are stealthy! More than four blades gives less thrust. Ofcourse, the lighter the propeller is, the more the demands on the anomoly between all blades. Oh, I have no sound and bad Enlish, sorry)

  • @ingareinar007 is this a promo or a porno...i mean the cheesy background music made me think of badly shot 70's porn.

  • @MrGreywolfcherokee Hahaha, pornpropellers! Umm, you have to ask the person who made this video :)

  • @ingareinar007 I saw a submarine propeller at a government surplus store. One of the blades had a small "ding" which would have caused noise. Apart from that it had swept back blades (weedless in outboard motor terminology) The large number of blades with about 100% DAR (disc area ratio) are needed to absorb the horsepower although down deep the high water pressure tends to prevent "ventilation".

  • @techdavey1000 That is interesting, thanx man

  • Good to see that vid. I worked at Veem Engeering in Perth for a while on a ship variable pitch prop refit at the workshops and on an overhaul of a submarine at the shipyard in Henderson WA.

  • Hi,

why too many blades? What's the advantage of having 3 or 4 blades to 2 blades prop?

    Thanks

  • More blades = Less strain per blade, More balanced on the drive shaft, more contact with the water means more water moved.

  • Change the pitch, what did I missed
