  • @jswatts72 if you connect a n router and a g router together on one modem will the n router become slower, can you please answer, thanks for your help?

  • i still dont understand.. why are you using two routers again!?!?!

  • A New subnet you can also Susanna dhcp on THE seconde router

  • What hes doing in this video is making a

  • let me ask you does the 2nd router's wireless work? or just the lan ports work?

i've done this kind of thing few times but with ethernet over power lines + a wireless router on the second mains plug with wireless also working on the 2nd one

    and i set the gateways 1st router 192.168.1.1 and 2nd 192.168.2.254

if i don't change the last 2 digits it wont work.. how come?

  • hey i saw your password lol

  • hey i saw ur password lol

  • woah this was posted today a year ago lol

  • Is it possible that i can have 2 routers, like one for my brother and family, and one for me? Because my family does a lot of downloading and uploading and its always slowing down my connection on my Xbox 360 when playing online.

  • @assassinjackson22 istn gonna help... if anything will make internet connection VERY slow for the 2nd router.setting up QoS on your router might help alittle bit.if not than your conneciton speed must be too slow for the amount of users you have online at one time.. look into upgrading if you can.. that should help. pretty much all home LANs only need one router out to the internet thats it... from where you can connect all the devices you want via wireless or though a switch

  • @Leacholopolis its not to slow I have very good internet bandwidth and speed, but the downloading and uploading kill it.

  • ROWTER

  • why are you doing a lan to wan? why not just straight through lan to lan?

  • ok i dident understand nothing of this i tell u my issu and u trying to help i have one modem and two routers with switch box of 8 lans how do i connect both of the routers well they have two different ip adress to the switch of 8 lans and to the modem thx....

  • thanks a lot it works great

  • Please make a new video without filming your screen. But film it with your computer.

  • Awesome and very easy to follow instructions, especially near the end of your video before you wrapped everything up. This saved me months of headaches to figure my problem out. God bless dude!

  • ok i havent seen this video but when i play games on my ps3 i get bad connection because someone in my household is using my laptop plaese respond

  • Excellent video help me set up a wired router to router link. Thanks. Great one to remember is to change the ip addresses on each router by changing the third octet rather than the forth. This is where I was going wrong.

  • Does this way work with Comcast's cable network?

  • Thanks for the help on this.

Me and a buddy got my wired and wireless router to play nicely with each other now. Lol.

  • @yankie I've never even used an airport it either works the same as a router allowing multiple wireless connections or it acts as wireless bridge just taking the one Ethernet connection and broadcasting it wirelessly. If it's a bridge then you should be able to just plug and play. If it's a router then after you configure it like how I did my wireless router it should work.

  • Would it be possible to connect another router to an AirPort because my older Windows PCs arent N compatible

  • dude you are doing nothing but confusing people! wtf did you hope to accomplish here?

  • Ok, well all routers should have a way of changing the LAN address. So for the network to work every computer should have a unique address. Thus change the LAN address of each connected router to something different. Furthermore change the subnet mask to allow only a smaller subset of addresses. Play around with different ip and sub masks to get the concept.

  • Omg i dont understand could you tell me if it works with netrear routers idk what to do could you help me

  • Thanks for your feedback I will get better with time.

  • You gotta be more organized, this is way too hard to follow. You also speak too fast, it just sounds like jibberish to me

  • Yeah this didn't work at all.

    Thanks.

  • @eddieluongo yes the same methos would work for you. The brand of the router shouldnt matter.

  • i have an dlink extreme 155 router and Linksys WRT310N and I have a cable modem. Would the same method you use work for mine?

  • @5ANCH3Z1 im not sure why having 2 PS3s on one router is a problem. But you could try moving one off to a different router. I have 1 PS3 and it was unaffected by this change.

  • I have had problems with 2 PS3 consoles running at the same time one the same wireless router. I was told that having two separate routers, one for each console, would fix it. I think it's what you're demonstrating on this video and I want to know if you think this method will fix it or at least help in some way.
