Like most Chinese, she is tolerant of your goofiness. Looks like the same city my wife is from. Of course they all look the same except Beijing and Shanghai!!!!! I bet you haven't put that much effort into learning her language/dialect. Congrats just the same. They make us happy.
Actually, I've put a lot more effort into learning Chinese than she has into learning English so far. Most of our conversations are in my limited Chinese, and me trying to understand the rest of what she is saying. She is going to be sorry when she gets here and realizes that she should have been studying English every day.
I'll warn you....If you let her meet Chinese friends here or let her watch Chinese on Dish Sat, then you will never get her to learn English. Once a Chinese has just one other Chinese to talk to, then they have no reason to learn English. The only other reason I have seen Chinese learn English is to make more money!!!! I'm still happy with my Chinese wife!!!!!!!!
