I saw him in the 80's when he was in black flag and he played a concert at this small club and he pulled down his pants and wiped his ass all over this pipe that was at the front of the stage.
Rollins attending the Anvil premere is funny because Ol' Henry spent the first part of his life hating and writing hate letters to ANY mag that would print his foaming at the mouth.
I use to read ALL the mags 20 yrs ago and every other month , he would write 2-3 page rant letters to the editors going off on Maiden, slayer, of course Poison,Crus etc.
He couldn't understand why someone would like those bands and not his, whats sad/funny is he still rants about it in his live shows..sorryass!

Isn't that lovely, Henry Rollins on the red carpet like a celebrity. He speaks out against celebs standing on their soapboxes and he's the biggest soapboxer around but that's okay, he says he's not a celebrity. Is that why he makes movies and gets shot by paparazzi?
i talked to rollins for a bit at the anticlub on melrose back in i don't know, '85? really, really nice guy, very earnest and interested in what I was saying. Black Flag was a monster!!! I moshed my fucking brains out!!!

No one, even Anvil, has ever claimed that they were anything more than just a good (I.e.- mediocre) band. The film is largely about their perseverance for 25+ years. I guarantee that at least one band in list of top 5 bands has sold-out at some point in their carreer...that is something Anvil never did. Hell- Devo is in your favorites...that is 100% trendy, skinny tie wearing 1980s new-wave keyboard bullshit...even less relevant than Anvil.

it's a documentary about Anvil and how celebrity slipped them and their recording of a new album. Anvil is mediocre at best and should be happy with the fame they have. the whining by the band mates in the film is a little pathetic and makes me like them even less.

This reminds me of the scene in King Kong where the reporters take a bunch of pictures causing Kong to go all O.J. Simpson.

True.
and if a band did not sell out out theire music became more progresive or they tuned down.
Anvil sounds the same on every album in my opinion wether you take that in a good or a bad way.
they still fucking rock.
