I think a perfectly valid reason for Wendy wanting to leave Neverland is that she is put through alot there; Tink nearly kills her, she is nearly drowned, made to get firewood, verbally abused by Peter and Tinkerbell, kidnapped, made to walk the plank.

I think at the end of all that, I would go, 'you know, I'll take the growing up now. Drop me off at home...NOW!'

I love that Wendy both acts like an adult but still has all the ambition and wonder as a kid. Ever notice that? Like she acts as the mother figure in Neverland, but the happy thought she thinks of before flying is "toys at Christmas." She is on the brink of growing up so maybe that's why.

hey guys read the prequel to peter pan its a trilogy the first book is peter and the starcatchers. there he sort of had a crush on this girl named Molly, who is actually WENDY'S MOM!! for those of u thinking no wendys mom name is mary, molly is a traditional nickname to mary. its so cool,read the books! even though its a trilogy, for some reason the authors decided to make a fourth book coming out in fall 2009.
