Isn't Fructose natural sugar in fruit? Health food stores sell it as a sugar replacement, (but it isn't sweet enough for me and too expensive). I eat a ton of sugar - not soda, am 6'3" 160 lbs, 29" waist, over 50, excellent health, NEVER get sick, e.g, colds, flus, etc. So what's up? Am I just a health anomaly?
Also, "Sugar is killing us" How, what does it cause? Are there healthy, INEXPENSIVE alternatives, eg Agave? Remember, at least 1/3 of Americans are in poverty and the number is growing.
this is true statement, HFCS is chemically so close to table sugar or "sucrose" that it matters not which one you eat. They're both close to half glucose, half fructose. The danger lies in fructose from either source ingested without the right amount of fiber with it, as in whole fruit. Without the fiber, it's dangerous to ingest fructose in any significant quantity for a period of time.
The kicker is if you don't eat the high fructose corn syrup, you don't get ravenously hungry and chase food.
You eat and get full without chasing the feeling of eating more.
How many times have you thought you were not hungry but eat anyway. It is the high fructose corn syrup that makes you over eat and pack on the pounds.
Fructose is found to increase cardiovascular and diabetes risk in adolescents
John Phillip NaturalNews February 15, 2012 Researchers at the Medical College of Georgia at Georgia Health Sciences University have published evidence that cardiovascular disease and diabetes risk is present in the blood fractions of adolescents who consume a lot of fructose, a scenario that worsens in the face...Google full article Fructose is found to increase cardiovascular and diabetes risk in adolescents
Hfcs is one of the things being used to soft kill humans and creatures alike. Chemtrails, big pharma. Bees are not as plentiful. Shrimp in the gulf are killing themselves.
It's appalling that the food industry can invent a chemical and advertise it....people are so freakin dumb we as a country are totally confused why we have so much diabetes and obesity! HFCS... and that's just the tip of the iceburg
thanks for making this...and great factory pic at the end :)
well it's because people watch the commercials and no one ever goes out to research it. Notice that the commercial for HFCS didn't sight any sources, he didn't quote any thing from a legitimate source. He only said he researched it but if he really researched it he would have found something totally different than what he was actually saying. Plus they changed the name which sorta mixes people up.
@DiversePersona we invent things and you guys use em.. and we were right because we research and care about the dumb little things you guys dont care about.. with out us you would probably have a way lower life expectancy.. wouldnt have cars and no planes.. shit like that.. i wish blacks and mexicans would start becoming more knowledgable and help the world out too
@DiversePersona lol holy shit it's you again spewing race shit haha just like on the young turks channels. In 5 years on youtube, ive never bumped into someone on the comments twice randomly.
This Video is dumb. Sugar does = HFCS, except that Sugar is less sweet. The causes of our disease is due to too much sugar/HFCS not HFCS alone. All ad's from Corn Refiners Association are telling you the truth. The Truth is that Sugar and HFCS are both Bad for you..
The second problem with the lack of insulin response is it actually blunts the insulin receptors. The insulin receptors (specifically GLUT4) become so desensitized to the insulin that it requires a HUGE insulin spike to activate these receptors and requires injections of insulin (since your body as a result of the excess insulin floating extracellullary down-regulates the insulin response). This is what is known as type II diabetes.
ha what a bunch of bullshit. Unfortunately, American's are having this propaganda shoved down our throats on a daily basis (literally and figuratively). HFCS does not induce an insulin response while cane sugar does. The problem with no insulin response is 2 fold. The first problem is it is insulin that inhibits ghrelin, the hunger hormone secreted by the stomach. If ghrelin is not inhibited people will not feel full and keep eating leading to obesity. Continued on next comment.
What the guy in the commercial says is actually a carefullly rigged truth--sugar IS SUGAR! BUT! What it DOESN'T tell you is, HFCS is NOT sugar, but a hiiiiighly processed, chemmically alllltered, artificially manipulated, and manufactured, sweeeetner! DRANO's most likely more natural! At least IT SAYS it's poison, front-and-center on the package!
You know what's funny? I am High Fructose Corn Syrup intolerant. That's right... my body DOES know the difference! When I saw this commercial (and others like it) I was amazed at how far people will go to keep their product at the expense of others health. I went through YEARS of excruciating pain because HFCS was in everything! Thanks to all who realized HFCS was bad for you!
The commercial is such a liar. HFCS is neither Cane Sugar or Corn Sugar. It is a modified form of sugar to be high in fructose. Cane Sugar is 50/50 glucose and fructose while Corn Sugar is glucose. If my body can't tell the difference, why does HFCS send me to the emergency room with MASSIVE diarrhea and cramps while I can eat all the cane or corn sugar I want? You are manipulative, selfish liars.
@FuzzlePup I have the same problem in lesser strength, isn't it great? maybe you should send your hospital and laundry bill to the CRA? It's like if cigarette companies pipe cig smoke into every building and say it's just as good as regular air. wait a minute...
@FuzzlePup Corn sugar and HFCS are the same thing. The corn refiners want labelers to use "corn sugar" instead of high fructose corn syrup to make people think it's safe.
@CrisIsRatedX Aspartame is worse than high fructose corn syrup, and does not actually help you lose weight. The sodas with real sugar is probably the best bet if you want to still drink sodas. I tried coke zero just recently, replacing my usual sodas with them and drank more (because I found out Aspartame dehydrates you) and I got a urinary tract infection because of it. Other people I have read have had the same problem with drinks containing Aspartame.
@bluewolf783 yea I know, that's why I drink Mountain Dew Throwback but I don't drink it as much as I use to. I drink tea which I'm pretty sure is way healthier than soda and i mean like real tea not the powder stuff.
@CrisIsRatedX Uhhh no. Everyone has different metabolism, and different immune system. HFCS is processed differently in our bodies than regular sugar, mainly by our liver. It makes us fat because there are more calories per volume in HFCS compared to sugar. This video, although well intentioned, is severely lacking argument.
@kittymeowr i have seen people drink a six pack a day and they are fat asses. just like an alcoholic you can be skinny. so what in the hell was the point you were tring to make?
@kittymeowr woaaah boys slow down. that coke zero has e-coli fecal matter in it (aspartame) start drinking some non fluoridated water with fruit soaking in it ;D
@mluck19 The difference is that the government required manufacturers of tobacco and alcohol to put warnings that the products are dangerous. With HFCS, the government is trying to propagandize it and make the public think it's safe all the while sneaking it into EVERYTHING we eat so it's damn near impossible to have it "in moderation."

@harmoda Truvia is a healthy sugar though it may not be as sweet as "regular" sugar. I wouldn't know because it's the only sweet thing I get.

The commercial makes the claim "Sugar is sugar. Your body can't tell the difference".
The CORRECT reply would be scientific evidence to disprove the claim.
Instead, this video shows a fat guy drinking WATER! This video is pointless.
