1. The jail does have a ceiling and we're getting an aerial view of the room so the ceiling is invisible.

2. Shadow is standing in the yard outside the jail, not in the jail itself.

3. Shadow's air shoes have been confiscated to prevent him from flying away and replaced with shoes that happen to look the same.
