Wow, this video is OLD... Now you have to take a bus and go onto a platform and watch the bears from up on a big deck. (and not to mention, isn't that Vince in the video as well?)

I live about 10 miles or so from the Vince Shute Bear Sanctuary. I've been there... oh, 2 or 3 times only, lol.

And the newcomers said that they were going to wean these bears off of this and then didn't, instead they turned it into a tourist spot. I am not paying to go see what I used to see for free.

ah, the good old days. my husband used to ride his bike out there and ran smack into that one big mama bear once. she just looked at them like she was laughing at them and wandered away! ah, home sweet home. i miss the good old days. its NOT the same now that its a sancuary. the least they could do is hire LOCALS to work there instead of a bunch of foreigners who dont know anything about the area or the stories...

How sadly ignorant. It's lucky they do have food. Otherwise the bears might attack the children! I don't mean that as a joke. They are wild animals & people just don't seem to get it, that wild animals can turn on you at any moment. Even wild animals that have been pets for years have turned on their owners.

everyone who said that these people should be arrested or that they are going to get attacked then you all really piss me off. if someone has some kind of fasination with a certain kind of animal then they should be able to do what they want, and so what if they have the balls to stand near a bunch of bears then they are AWESOME. i would love to do something like that. bears aren't always going to attack people. no these people should not be arrested, he' s not doing anything wrong!!!
