I beat him with knight master white wizard and black wizard I beat him at around lv 65 with out using any elemental buffs only buffs I used were protera invisira and haste on the attackers then I just attacked holy'd and flared him to death occasionally healing all in all not to bad of a boss death gaze took way longer at level 99

i got here at level 54 on the psp thinking i could take anything and it took me 3 tries at that level to beat him. very hard boss, constantly uses flare

I've heard from others that temper does not work in the NES version of FF1. Does it work?

@DuCK1e2345 no temper is bugged sense when this was first made a few things had to be rushed, so there was one or two bugged spells and element weaknesses weren't implemented

I remember Shinryu, he was rediculous to beat in this game, it took me like 30 tries to beat him and my team were like lvl 70, he was very hard to beat, especially the fact that he has Flare, lol

@3141Bruna when they lvl up they reseve a certaint amount but for example if one (knight for example)used magic more the any other char on your team the knight would have more MP but remember it doesnt matter all of your chars can have 999/999(except Monk/Master)

the fight is much easier if you find the ultima weapon in the whisperwind cove because the sword gets stronger as your hp increases

Temper is availble at Elfheim black magic shop and flare is available at the town where everyone speaks a different language. Go to the top right, where you think you are going to leave the town and run right for about 5-10 seconds. A black and white magic shop are there where you can learn Holy and Flare.

this may be just me saying this but i think that Shinryu was one of the harder bosses and i also noticed that you didn't have the sword Excalaber.

GODAMNED !!! There was two rooms : Omega or Shinryu... I beated none of them. I saved in the boss room ( Fatal Error ) and now I must face Shinryu the hardest between those two !!! Hopefully I saved before entering this dungeon. But, I'm level 61 so I can do it !

Hmm, two fighters, a whit mage and a black mage? I allways either go with two fighters a theif and a black belt, or a theif and black belt, a red mage and white mage if I want a challenge.

isn't shinryu the Wind Dragon's name in FFV? the one when you get the medicine for him and that girl grabs that plant and then that dragon cures her poinsoning? (near the beginning of the game)

Actually Shinryu is an optional boss near the ending of the game... I was never able to beat him because he's insanely hard for me.

Keep training and you can beat Shinryu.

Shinryu is a tough boss, but I eventually beat him.  It just involved powering up my two knights, healing the party every turn, and using powerful attack spells like Flare. After Shinryu and Omega, Chaos was a joke to defeat. Any boss can be defeated with the right approach.

I suppose a group without a white mage should be able to make it, it's just going to be harder with no healaga. My group is Knight, Master, white wiz, black wiz. Does anyone know if NulAll would lower Flare's damage?

No it doesn't. A boss used NulAll on once and, when my Black Mage used Flare, it hit for the same damage it did before NulAll was active.

i beat Shinryu and omega and w/e all bosses actually with 2 warriors and 2 red mages, without really using sources such as protect, and i tell you, i used like 40 Elixers each battle + they took 45 minutes each.. it was hell, but i made it ;D

For me, omega was more easy than shinryu. He owned my ass with flare because he kept using it and wouldnt stop.

Omega was such a joke for me compared to Shinryu. But, try fighting him without any White Wizards. The battle becomes a lot harder.

u get Ultima Weapon at the end of Bonus dungeon (the one that opens after you've killed Tiamat ..) in a chest (right after Deathgaze)

I have a question for anyone who has the answer. I was able to get 3 Ultima Weapons, Ragnaroks, etc by going through the extra dungeons and beating the bosses again. but subsequent playthroughs I was only allowed to get one. Heres the question how, if you can, do you get extra weapons and armor by defeating the bosses again?

lol, yea, especially with ultima weapon with 999 hp, knights are best for ultima weapon, since they have amazing hp and they are good with swords, unlike monk

This boss is a little tough first try, as he over-uses flare and stuff, and you don't know he has that magic. But after that [2nd time] he's predictable, he used, Flare, Thunderbolt, Icestorm and then flare.

On my FF1 game I beaten all of the SOC dungeons.

Omega is the hardest boss on the game, because of his physical strengh and mad defence.

You get a Murusame for beating him.

The Ninja's Best Weapon.
