  • The excellent Canadian CBC radio doc on Jackie remains available at CBC's site : cbcDOTca. Just use their search box. Also, a Cdn. 3-pt TV doc "Yonge Street Stories" on Toronto's '60s music scene, includes a good segment on Jackie in pt.2. It played on Cdn. cable network BRAVO Mar. 22/11.

I grew up in Toronto, a young teen by the late '60s, but don't recall ever hearing about Jackie then, or if Iever heard his singles on the radio, I can't remember! Now I wish I'd gotten to see him live!

  • This was turned into a Disco song in the 70's. by another singer.

  • @cookyist

Amy Stewart did the disco version. It was also a hit for Eddie Floyd who put it out in the 60's as well.

  • What a groove! YES!

  • He was on, Sue, modern, and I think this one was, Caravan records.

  • He was on different labels, like, Sue, Modern, and more.

  • what label released this? im not into live bar bands, but this one ain't bad....love Jackie's voice.
