The excellent Canadian CBC radio doc on Jackie remains available at CBC's site : cbcDOTca. Just use their search box. Also, a Cdn. 3-pt TV doc "Yonge Street Stories" on Toronto's '60s music scene, includes a good segment on Jackie in pt.2. It played on Cdn. cable network BRAVO Mar. 22/11.
I grew up in Toronto, a young teen by the late '60s, but don't recall ever hearing about Jackie then, or if Iever heard his singles on the radio, I can't remember! Now I wish I'd gotten to see him live!

Amy Stewart did the disco version. It was also a hit for Eddie Floyd who put it out in the 60's as well.
