  • 'Only you'....can prevent forest fires.

  • LOVE YOUR POSTS, YOU ARE ALWAYS ON POINT AND KNOW YOUR STUFF.

  • i like his smile, it looks a fake one like he makeing fun of the usual Ads

  • I have a 16 and a 12 gauge. One time I took the 12 gauge out for hunting, and in my pocket I had both 16 and 12 gauge ammunition...But I saw it in time, so no accident happened.

  • not my face

  • Hardcore! Best way to get faceless.

  • That IS the way it is!! Love it!

  • i love this guy

  • This is really a rather good video. It seems like the kind of thing that's terribly obvious once someone tells you, but would be so easy to overlook during a busy day.

  • DUH

  • adapters for [x] gauge to [y] gauge work too you know

  • that would suck

  • Thanks Larry Potterfielddd!

  • This is brilliant stuff, good advise there sir!

  • my dad did this and blew off his thumb

dont worry we found it in my neighbors yard he got it put back on

  • 1:22 I dont think the government got that message

  • Sir Larry Potterfield

  • Iv'e never done this, but i know a guy who tried to fire a 7.62x54r cartrige, out of a .410 derringer, it fit into the chamber with a little push, and he said, " If it fits, it shoots''. the pistol's action sepparated from the barrel, cracked it, and the barrels were sepparated from the center block. he lost his thumb, and middle and index finger. like larry said, DONT MIX UP AMMUNITION! be safe.

  • Watching this gave me an idea how about a double barrel with a slot for each 12 and 20gauge shells

  • Why does 20 gauge ammo even exist? I guess if you teaching midgets how to shoot trap. Everyone I know has been handling 12 gauges since they were 12 years old.

  • love the 90's music in the background, lol

  • i just did that today

  • good info

  • Okay, what idiot dropped a 20 gauge shell down the breach of his shotgun, and said, "hey, let's just push it out with a 12 gauge shell".

  • and thats the way it is...

  • its snowing on him!!!!!

  • I'm learning good stuff :O

  • im gonnago to the terrorist shotgun stash and load the wrong shells

  • Caramba!

  • real idiots, I have 12 and 20 gauge shotguns, and never have this situation

  • Cool story bro

  • Message to Larry, next time you want to get rid of an old double barrel just send it my way please! I'll be your best friend!

  • oh yeah also dont put a 50 bmg in the 12 gauge and fire it

  • Why would you wait a perfectly good 12 gauge?

  • firearm safety?

  • I did not know that. Thank you Larry. I shoot 12 guage, but had no idea that this is a possibility.

  • :D

  • For sale: Used HR/New England 12 gauge shotgun w/ slight damage.

  • great vid guys!!!

  • I want Larry to run for pres.

  • I saw this happen once. Everyone was fine and luckily the barrel only bulged but it turned the guys shoulder completely purple. looked like a very painful bruise. As a kid I learned about this in hunter safety our instructor was missing most of his hand. He had his accident in a duck blind. Never let guys with a 20ga in the duck blind. When thinks get going fast its to easy to accidently grab a 20 ga shell.

  • Thank you again Larry Potterfield!

  • This Grandpa rulez

  • @PappahShango you should meet my grandpa

  • Really? Is this video necessary?

  • 1:19 quickscope!

  • The 12 Gage is red the 20 Gage is yellow I think

  • So you had to destroy a nice gun to show me..

  • good point there good video too

  • yeah.........

  • I hate when I do that...

  • @dmharvey79 same here my ears are still ringing

  • If you are dumb enough to not notice that you put a 20gauge shell in a 12gauge gun and it slid down the barrel, then you deserve everything that is comming to you.

  • seriously... who the hell confuses 12 and 20 gauge ammo. you should know as soon as you pick it up!!!

  • all my bullets are 12 gauge

  • I'm Larry Potterfield, and that's the way it is!

  • tip when your killing like 20 ducks try not to but in a slug when duck hunting when reloading

  • yeah i never seen it either thanks

  • The emphasis on responsibility of the user/owner can not be stressed enought and this gentleman does just that.

My first gun was a 20 bore when I was 12 years old.I never thought anyone would load a 20 into a 12 and not tell someone.

I guess a quick peek up the barrel if possible would negate this and I'll remember to do so more diligently from now.

    Thanks!

  • why are Americans talking about gun safety please......

  • ...and that's the way it is!

  • he forgot to say the main tip, when you drop a cartridge into the chamber, and it falls deep into the barrel, dont just chuck another cartridge ontop and try to act like it never happened. duuuuhh

  • that why i buy diffrent color shotgun shells

  • I hear about this all the time, but have never seen it actually happen. Thanks for showing me how dangerous it can be Larry!

  • I laughed when the wood stock cracked in half

  • thank you Larry Potterfield

  • THAT POOR H&R, SHE DESERVED BETTER THAN TO BE BLOWN UP.

  • 1:03 face of win

  • anyone else notice the pre-existing crack in the stock at 48 seconds?

  • 5 people mixed their ammo up

  • This principal was actually a murder plot in a UK Crime Drama... it killed them instantly.

Can't remember the name of the show but it was pretentious crap I can tell you that.

  • @Treblaine Midsomer murders is what the show was called

  • Why does this guy talk like a retard?

  • @leangle1988 because you touch yourself at night

  • @Forgotton12 indeed

  • @controversyking

Are you really asking that? It's Potterfield, goddammit.

  • is that browning citori

  • @artdesbois squirrels,and its a full size 12 pound remington.thanks

  • That's the way it is motherfuckers.

  • how much recoil would u say a twenty gauge has.i am going hunting saturday and wanna no wat to expect, how much compared to a 22,

  • @pops51201 Your first shot will fell like the gun has exploded if you compare it to a .22 lol

  • That's the way it is

  • It can also happen with a 12 gauge shell in an 8 gauge shotgun. 8 gauge is so rare now a days though that it isn't an issue.

  • Harry Potterfield is why you shouldnt inbreed.

  • That nasty burst in the barrel will shred your firearm and your arm. ;(

  • your awesome for showing what would happen in that situation, using that nef single shot, man this was a cool video

  • Really, only a pure armature or a complete idiot would mix the two....but needless to say it is good practice

  • I'm glad I saw that. I thought 20 gauge was somewhat smaller even. I guess that's a 410 or something.

  • but that with one gun tho

  • you would have to be a real idiot to mix up 12 and 20 gauge shells

  • why do americans look so happy with a gun in their hands?

  • @SgtJp654 Why do people from other countries always assume that Americans have a gun and burger fetish?

  • @SgtJp654 becouse we love guns

  • @SgtJp654 If I coould get a firearm so easily I'd be happy too.

  • @SgtJp654 Because we are happy to still have the right the bear arms.

  • @NickPech you mean we all have the right to hang a set of bear arms on our mantles?

  • Heard about some kids who did this with a single-shot. Dropped a 20 gauge in, got a click, decided to just drop a 12 gauge in and fire anyway without bothering to check what the problem was or even see if a shell got ejected. Did they think it evaporated or something?

Long story short, teenager holding the gun died.

  • What a guy

  • I wonder if He can fix that shootgun.

  • @sirlepto Yes by buy a new gun. That is the only way.

  • Nice of your to sacrifice a good 12 gauge for our benefit Larry!

  • Why'd you reupload it?

  • @zanuha who cares? This guy is genius.

  • @zanuha

This one looks a little different... minor changes/updates?

  • @zanuha HD

  • @zanuha because it is important!!! or for people that have for the first time a shotgun, or for santa to bring the right ammo with the shotgun,or for a woman self-defenceing her kitchen not to blow up the wrong thing at the wrong time!
