I made this project and there are a couple of Construction hints for this. First as you can build this to any scale, the wood can be found as wall molding. They have a 3/4" and a 1" that you can try. Second, use 3/8" Dowel rods for rope Tension-er, If you can find and cut a similar metal piece all the better I used 1 1/2 - Two inch section. Trick for the tension string. Coat end with Crazy glue 2". It will stiffen the string like a needle and becomes easy to pass through.
