  • I don't think this is available as a CD. You can write to Varmaji directly and ask if you

like. His user id here is musique4ever.

    Cheers!

  • Beautifully sung. Good. I love the way it is rendered.

  • Absolutely lovely, this is! I'm not Hindu but this is one of the most beautiful and spiritual songs I have ever heard!

  • You might enjoy Varmaji's own upload of the same song, sung by a group of children he teaches at Perla :) His channel is musique4ever.

  • briiliant rendition and agree it is very soothing-> and the meaning is again is the essence.

for our sanskrit lovers info--> it is in fact in TELUGU! yah! padya kavita in telugu is filled with sanskrit phrases that there is nothing wrong in confusiong it is sanskrit-> it is a thyagayya's kriti inTELUGU.. i hope it helps...

    Allareddyrr

  • I love his voice...

  • Great rendition of Sita Kalyana by Rama Varma-ji and team. Amazingly soothing to listen to. I also listened to another sweet version of our great Dasettan's (Dr. K. J. Yesudas's) rendition of the same composition in the film Paithrukam which is wonderful too. I feel that both renditions are unique in their own ways.

  • Check out Varma Sir's site, w w w . ramavarma . synthasite . com and the Rama Varma community at orkut . com for more info

  • what ragaam is this song in?? i love this song.. such a beautiful melody.

  • It is in Raga Kurinji. I love this song too and the way Varmaji has sung it and taken the other musicians with him too !

  • @musiquebox It is also sometimes felt like Shankarabharanam and even Navroz by some listeners. He has sung it the way Balamuralikrishna does - deeply contemplative and full of bhakti.

  • Is there anything that can be more beautiful than this!

  • Sri Rama Jayam! Namaskar!

    Learn, respect Sanskrit

Sanskrit is the most scientific and most ancient language on Earth

Be proud of your Sanskriti/Vedic heritage

  • great rendition. thanks for the lyrics. now i understand why some letters are in CAPS! there the letter utterance should be stretched to meet rhythm. ! Inference, Watson, inference! for me, as i have no backgrounds! :-) Thanks again.

  • Not to meet rhythm, that is how that particular word is pronounced in telugu.

  • very nice n soothing..

  • Radhe Krishna

    Thyagayya....The Divine Soul.

Just spell bound to even think that His Holiness Thyagayya wrote this krithi unconciously in his deep Bhakthi.

Not just the song, the rendering is also amazing....

Pity, that I am unable to recogonise the singers.

"Desha baashalo telugu theata" (Of all the languages Telugu is the clear-water)

    How fitting the word are...

  • The singers are Prince Rama Varma and his two

students Ratna and Rajashree. Varma ji is a great admirer of the Telugu language himself as you will see if you go through all the videos I have posted here.
