It does not add to the counter. At all. Maybe it's faster, I don't know. But the counter only goes up when he is striking them.

For all those complaining about him jumping, it's actually a very good idea. It basically takes the chance of a henchman throwing a hit at you out of the equation and therefore you don't need to worry about countering to stop your combo being broken. This might help me hit the perfect free flow actually.

Storm, we all know you can't make 160x combo with OR without jumping. And, if by some miniscule chance you can, by all means, post it for proof, otherwise you're talking out of your ass. And while i admit it's boring to watch, the general concensus on how to about achieving a high multiplier IS to use the dodge maneuver after every hit or two (often interspersed with instant takedowns).

Wow! It's a lot easier to do than I expected. I kept flying from one attacker to the next only to get hit, breaking my flow at about 20. I never thought about slowing down, jumping more.

Some times the easier way is the best way.

Got the 40x achievement with the technique form the video, but I did it in the Sewer Extreme challenge on round 1, which has just about the right quantity of foes for it.

Woah theres way too much jumping involved in that combo... you didn't even use the Y button!

A much easier way to get this achievement is when you're fighting the beast in the octagonal room and there are other henchmen fighting alongside him, you simply get a 20+ combo from riding the beast's back and then its way easier to finish the job
