  • Im a 10th grader im taking AP Calculus, and Chemistry is that how it is over there in Japan?

  • FRENCH!

  • The French mentality for the most part is absolutely garbage. Having lived there, they are so keen in letting you know who the boss is and typerfies the sort of attitutes most people revere in England.

  • "Local schools in India are hesitant to admit non-Indian children. They say they look different and will find the standard too high," says Beaumont, whose children study at the American school. "And it's true. The maths is at least two years ahead of what we learn. So we decided to help set up a school that will not only teach children in the French system but also expose them to the local syllabus," says Beaumont. wtf.

  • Everybody say american university are so expensive. But Harvard, known for the most expensive university from the USA. If parents earn less than 100 000 dollars a year you pay 10% of the total cost. And if you parents earn less than 60 000 dollars this is free !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • @Bassoarno Nothing is free in America! Are you dreaming?

  • @OurEurope

On 1000 french only 54 can speak pretty good an another language.

On 1000 american 248 can speak pretty good and another language

For english people i don't know.

  • @Bassoarno

Where did you take these statistics from? They are very surprising to me...

  • @Bassoarno ahahahah! Those stats are pure crap. In 2006, 51% of the french can speak and understand a foreign langague. In the European Union, there are only six countries (out of 27) when more than half of the population CAN'T speak and understand a foreign langague : Ireland (66%), the United Kingdom (62%), Italy (59%), Hungary (58%), Portugal (58%) and Spain (56%). ec.europa (dot) eu/languages/documents/2006-special-eurobarometer-survey-64.3-europeans-and-languages-report_en.pdf

  • @NFL9475

hahahaha. Those stat include foreign people who live in France. For example : in France there is 6 millions of arabian, some millions of italian, portuguese and spanish and some thousands from other countries. And then there is a very small part of french people who speak an other language.

So now, it's normal that you can find 51% of the french can speak and understand a foreign language.

But among the REAL FRENCH. Not more than 2 or 3% can.

  • @Bassoarno funny, but those are clichés. The study was made on french citizens only. 36% of the French speak english, 13% speak spanish, 8% speak german and 5% italian as 2nd or 3rd langague. Less than 1% speak arab! You think that the 3rd generation arabs speak arab?!? Funny... This is France, not UK or USA, and EVERYBODY here speak French as mother tongue. Check the study. I dont invent those stats made by he European Union.

  • @NFL9475 haha you idiot? france is dominated by africans and muslims fare more than UK, france is the most watered down country i do feel it for the french they allready where weak enough.

  • @Bassoarno It rely more on integration, see. In America, immigrants usually live within their groups, interact only with them. some may spend many years without the need of speaking English which is not the case with France. I grew in both nations.

  • In the USA even when the professor wants to be called by their first name, it's just too weird to call him.her by it. That said, the professors are still close and friendly with the students. So we have a bit of both here, which is kinda interesting.

  • @OurEurope That's because there's a huge geographical factor causing this. It's not a bad attitude factor.

  • The video is true, the french education system is very bad (especially in High-school), professor are very srict, you never can to bo relax, we have school from 8 : 00 until 17 : 00 or 18 : 00 etc.

    This is so hard.

  • @Bassoarno It's true. I'm having a very similar problem. That snarky attitude is ridiculous, compared to American democracy where both parties are on more equal footing

  • Actually guys I don't agree with you. it's not because those girls are fluent in English that we French all are. Actually the French are known to be reluctant about learning other languages. The English and Americans are n°1. We French are n° 2.

  • @1ThatsWassup1 couldnt agree with u more....here in quebec the french dont want to learn english which is why they would like to get rid of all english in province.

  • @PKPALLY ^^

  • @OurEurope. I am Scottish but I live in Bulgaria and am learning Bulgarian (very difficult). In Britain we are not encouraged to learn other languages. There is a very arrogant attitude where it is believed that English is the international language. I speak a little French and a very little German and it humbles me when I go to other European countries and so many people speak 2, 3 or more languages.

  • as by a chance it suddenly cuts when she says (1:30) that french universities are - kinda - free, i really wonder why

  • Good idea for a video piece, Entre les murs is a great film
