thats a great vid that really is the best time to introduce the baby and ur pet . i did the same thing and my female lab totaly respects my son and has never tried to hurt him at all.in fact i think it creates a really tight bond between the dog and the baby.

Oh my goodness. I agree with happyspandex. Our dog is like one of our kids. Even when we go to tuck the kids into bed and say our prayers, our Boston Terrier jumps up into their toddler bed and snuggles up next to them. He has never even snarled at the kids. If anything, he is licking them from head-to-toe more often than not, LOL!

as much as I love them, they do have to be bottom of the pack, really instilled in them so that there is much less chance of them trying to assert authority/nip someone. with my experience, I would not allow a dog to be that close. you simply CANNOT PREDICT OR ASSUME SAFETY FROM ANY ANIMAL HOWEVER DOMESTICATED THEY ARE.

Number one. Not all dogs are horrible. If you love an animal, don't tease it, but give it as much affection as possible, then it will love and respect your commands when you treat them with the same amount of respect you want to be given. I've had my dog since she was a puppy. Mini Pin, Manchester Terrier mix, and she's turned out quite well. Don't make quick judgments if a dog looks vicious. It could turn out to be the sweetest dog you've ever met.

This is very cute but very risky. Please don't let babies do stuff like this. Sorry to be a moaning minnie but dogs could decide to wrestle the baby for the possession and bite no matter what size or breed.

The best way to protect that baby in the house with a dog is to socialize the dog and baby together, the best way to get the baby hurt is to keep the dog and baby away from each other, so when you turn your back, the loyal dog naturally tries to deal with the "intruder". That baby was fine, moreover, it probably had more fun than you'll ever have!

We have a 6.5 month old baby girl and a 2.5 year old Boston Terrier, female. We couldn't be more thrilled with the way our boston has welcomed our baby girl into her family. i have to admit though, we weren't really that worried. We're already thinking of having another one.............of each !! LOL Great video!

So glad you love the video and our sweet ol' dog. He was a 2-yr old Boston Terrier in the video. He is so great with our son ... they are best buds. He is also very protective ofour son. My wife is prego again and it is like our dog knows, b/c he cuddles up next to her belly. Even when she went into labor very early with our son, he was whining all night and would not leave her side .... almost warning her of what was to come! Amazing how intuitive Boston Terriers are.

no it's not. it depends on if the dog is possessive of the two and aggressive about it. my dog will let me stick my face in his food bowl while he eats, where as my old dog wouldn't even let me touch him while he ate. you just need to know what your dogs personality it like.
