  • so, 240p we meet again

  • i have it today, it sucks

  • du bist hässlich und besser könnte das auch mal werden mein got sone scheiße hilft mir nicht

  • hi man pls answer can i how to say put cable of my monitor syncMaster 793DF 17 inch can i plug in thet graphic card i think to buy thet graphic card but dont know if i can put in it

  • a must buy i have the ATI-Radeon-HD-4000-Serie i can run anything on max with it any game

  • nice video !

  • Does this require an external power connector or is it just puerly getting power from pci, no other wires needed? I need to know because my 12 v railings aren't strong! And I can't upgrade the PSU.

  • @Avataryoutuification

yes, it does require a single 6-pin power connector but that shouldn`t be much of a problem. The 4770 consumes like 80 watts at max. My PSU has a single +12V rail with 24 amps and I never had any problem

  • for the normal budget !

not expensive - to powerful !

  • @MegaNextGen Exactly why I got it, plays all the games I need at pretty high settings. After all it's the gameplay and mechanics that count the most.

  • @Yoda8232 yes

too bad i broken my pc and now i got one shity ! :(

  • watch?v=dTSSRE2WWO4

  • 65 degrees with auto fan set, but I have a new case and everything so it's nice a cool inside.

  • I have EXACTLY same cooler at my XFX 4850!What are your temperatures?

  • tigerdirect delivered it to me just now, the xfx 4770 version didn't come with a dvi to hdmi adapter or a crossfire adapter which sucks. i'm using a nexxtech adapter and i'm getting no audio. if you guys are getting this card do not get it from Tiger Direct get it from NewEgg or NCIX instead.

  • @MJBDC07 Weird, Tigerdirect or any supplier can't just open any new box and change what's inside. It would of have to been missing the adapter straight from XFX. I'd still complain to both compaines. Good luck with your new card!

  • @Yoda8232 yesh it wasn't really TD's fault on the box it never said anything about crossfire bridge or a hdmi adapter but they should really post it on their site. I contacted xfx about the adapter and they said they're going to send me one and it'll probably ship monday hopefully.

  • You're better off going with XFX 4770. This seems pretty cheap.

  • @Uputz When this card came out every single HD 4770 was exactly the same just with different pricing, stickers, and companies. This was the cheapest and came with 3 good games, TF2, DoD:S, and Portal.

  • @Yoda8232 The only difference between companies is the cooling an drivers

  • @spiderpig85 And warranties yes, but my point I'm trying to get across is when this cooler came out there was only ONE cooler design for the market unless you bought a ATI reference card which you would be CRAZY LUCKY if you could find one when these came out.

  • @Yoda8232 Ahh. Gotcha.

  • power color is cheap and fast. just the way i like it.

  • what do you think hd4770 or hd4850 if we compare the price to???????

  • @Ahmed129837 If your looking to save power or have a weak power supply get the HD 4770, if you got a good power supply get the HD 4850.

  • hey man this videocard takes 2 slots?

  • yes

  • @PcMrGaming yeah! but, youll need a mothercard that supports AM2+/AM3 ! or did you mean crossfire?

  • No, you can use a HD 4770 on any motherboard that supports PCI-E 1.0 or 2.0 regardless of chipset and socket.

Yes this video card does use 2 slots as I said in the video, there are probably some single slot versions if needed.

  • At 5:00 magic transition.

  • hi people :) does anyone who owns this tried it with gta 4 or modern warfare 2? because im not sure to get it or not cos im short on money atm what do people think any suggestions, opinions?

  • MW2 I can play maxed out with no problem at all 30 FPS all the time MINIMUM, your FPS will only drop because of the matchmaking service. GTA4 I can run all high mixed with very high settings without AA and standard view with no lag. GTAIV requires lots of VRAM as the HD 4770 has only 512MB. All run at 1920 x 1080.

  • thanks alot man :) does this mean is i want to play gta iv ill need a 1 gb graphics card?

also my soon to be computer has 4 or 6 gb ddr2 speeds like 2.1-3 ghz is this and its a proper computer not a gaming rig i made it from a shop will i still be able to put this in cos im very new to all this incase you cant tell :)

  • Well a good 1GB fast card (not the media card GPU's with 1GB) like a HD 5770 or GTX 260, for maxed settings. I like my HD 4770 though.

Get DDR3 it's now cheaper than DDR2 and faster if your building a new PC, minimum 1333 MHz speed.

    No problem. :)

  • wow your awsome :) i may try to build a rig if my mum lets me haha do you have any suggestions or things i should know before building? like motherbords and stuff cos im confused with all this crossfire and sli stuff!

(if im getting annoying now just say and ill stop asking you)

  • nice explanation dude by the way u are too young way for that info :D lol

  • Nice review for a nice card you made Yoda8232.

I got my card a bit later, and does seem to have a copper cooler, it also come with a 6-pin adapter.

A minor gripe: better *technical* quality of the video woud have been great (resolution/audio noise).

    Good work though. :-)

  • It certainly owns my video card which worth 80 to 90 dollars

  • you are retarrd...off course that theese two cards beat this card, its not even close to the same rang idiot...there is a really big difference in the price-.-' 4890 is doubled price and 5770 is even more...so dont post stupid comments any more...go and educate

  • its either your a noob, or.... a NOOB! ... ehehe

  • @ohnzee wow you make sense. good come back.

  • nice video :) im gonna buy this card soon, it will be a nice upgrade from a 7900gs :P

  • It is, you'll have lots of fun. :)

  • latest technology huh.... -looks around- :p

  • What I mean is it was it was the first GDDR5 card for regular people. You probably rolling on a HD 5870 or 5970 now lmao.

  • kevin makes a good troll >.>

  • its a good card indeed.

  • looks like kevin got a little attention deficite.. haha, cute

  • haha ya I will upload a vid on my card I dont have a 4770 I have a Quad CFX 4850 on my MSI board ill upload it here soon. nub cake.

  • First the ATi makes nice cards but there reference coolers are shit. what you poor and hatting cause you cant afford liquid....... but my main dis on you was how you don't know shit about direct X..

  • yah, we are *hatting*

  • this card is really good for it's price

89 euros for XFX radeon hd4770

    gpu speed: 750 mhz

    memory speed: 3200 Mhz

    really nice!!

  • That's why I bought it great bang for buck, though now you can barely find any since most of them are gone due to the 40nm chip shortage.

  • 3200mhz memory ?! lol

  • That's the effective memory clock speed, the real clock is 800 MHz. The way you get that is for example DDR2 RAM that runs at 800 MHz actually runs at 400 MHz but makes two cycles thus getting 800 MHz.

  • xxkevinxx900, what's your problem, Mr.KnowsItAll? Either you're jealous of some strange reasons or you need a severe spankin' session. If you can do a better 4770 review then please, do. Otherwise just shut up and stop criticizing him.

And why the hell are you even comparing the 4770 with Nvidia's GTX200 series? 4770 was intended to compete with 9800GT and not GTS250 (aka 9800GTX+) - that's why HD 4850 was released.

  • this douche thinks he knows shit about direct X lol read comments I left in last video he thinks direct X is a performance boost.

  • direct x in some games does give a performance boost......direct x 9 to direct x 10.1 showed a average 5-6fps better idiot learn your stuff troll.

  • Comment removed

  • @xxkevinxx900 and a graphical improvement that also improves gameplay to a extent.. read up some

  • its called the 9800GTX not the 9800GT and plus it can kill the 4770 in crysis because Nvidia payed the company to code the game lol... also cards like the 9800GTX,9800GTX+,9800GTX+ Alpha XXX,9800GTX+ XXX and GTS 250-GTX295 quad SLI can kill that... XFX FTW powercooler sucks bad cooling.

  • why the fuck are you mono tone and talking weird lol. first its called a single slot card its thin cause it has a third party cooler. also all 4770 don't have the same cooler my xfx 4770s smokes that piece of shit full cooler and I bought 2 water block back plates for both of my 4770s so I can liquid cool them. why are you attempting 100% fan speed with a shit PSU and a shit reference cooler. wow I hope you blow your shit up.

  • Water cooling a $100 card? You must feel great. The HD 4770 was made to compete with 9800 which actually is a real card.

Also if you hate the card so much why in the world would you bash it so much?

I'd like to see some of your reviews boy.

  • you bought water cooling for a 4770? ROFL

  • there's an offer on right now at a local store which sells them for $70, I'm getting it tomorrow

  • want to hook me up?

  • if your close to columbus ohio you can find them at a store called dynabite computers

  • nice review, i need an upgrade over my 8600 gt and i think i'll get this card. at first times i thought 128 bit was kinda lowi but benchmark results show that its almost as good as 4850

  • Yeah it would be a very good improvement over a 8600 GT, I would definitely to the upgrade. Great choice.

  • Lighten up dude! you sound nervous as fuck!

  • does this get good fps in source and half life 2?

  • Any current low end video card will skyrocket in the game as the Source engine is couple years old. For example my old onboard HD 3200 could play CS:S maxed with 8xAA at 1600 x 1200 with no lag.

This card is more than enough, it's way overkill.

  • Thanks so much dude, love your vids for xmas im upgrading my comp with gfx card processor and RAM. Thanks for helping me man, some people just ignore noobs =\ like me haha

  • oh how bout Call of Duty4 and Modern warfare 2, sorry i didnt post that before

  • Is the Xfx radeon hd 4770 the same the as this or does it have different stats such as cooling or speed? Thanks.

  • Yes, the first generations do. There are now a real dual slot cooler that XFX sells and many another companies sell with the HD 4770 now.

It's just a regular "brick" style cooler with a blower style fan. Same speed unless noted as a OC version.

But factory OC'ed video cards are a total waste of money unless they have some cooling differences.

  • Ok Good to know. Thanks.

  • i own one is awes0me

  • Thanks your very helpful. Also when building your own pc could you just use an OS you burned into a dvd from a torrent site to save $100?

  • Yoda you sound and probably know a lot about video cards. So i want to ask can most AMD motherboards support GDDR5 Memory? And what is the difference between DDR 1-5.

  • GDDR5 is only for video cards, and you can put any type of video card in your system as long as you have the slot for it and the power to run it.

There is no such thing as a motherboard will only run a certain type of GDDR.

In simple terms, the higher the GDDR the faster the GPU can go and transmit data.

  • Thanks for this review!

Since audible noise is crucial for my decision, your in-depth cooling section was most helpful!

  • Thanks, glad I helped.

  • hey when are you gonna make a new video? im going to buy a 250GTS in next month(November) only the card i can afford yet

  • ordered me a HD4770 1gb :-) should arrive friday!

  • Yoda8232, what is your max clock on the hd 4770 ?

  • 860 for the core clock and 975 for the memory, you'll need real good cooling for this though.

  • I flashed my hd4770 a while ago with the Asus bios, currently running 1000/1200 24/7 :)

This is with a thermalright Hr-03 Rev. A cooler.

  • Very nice, great job.

  • i can put this on my pci-express 16x too?

  • Yeah, PCI-E 2.0 cards are backwards compatible with PCI-E 1.0 slots.

  • hi, could you help me with a question I am not being able to find the facts? I am trying to find out how this hd 4770 compares to the gpu inside the xbox 360. I am trying to see the graphics card evolution speed, do you know how they compare? thanks

  • It's based on the pre-version of the ATI Radeon R600 chips which are the HD 2000 and 3000 cards.

    It's nothing now.

  • thanks for your help

  • very very complete video, just that i was looking for.. on a review of this card...

    thx alot xD!!

    i'll buy this card

  • Thank you, I tried to include everything needed for a real full review.

  • Need More Light

  • I have ATI Radeon HD "4730" graphiccard and this is good ^^

  • Decent card for the price there.

  • 4730 does not exist

  • Google it yes it does, 8 less ROP's that a HD 4770.

  • nerd

  • It overclocks well.

The memory is rated for 1000mhz but its only at 800mhz

  • u look like a dork lol

  • I would like to make the corrections when U said cons in 128bit yes it may be a 128bit card but with the gddr5 it means its super pumped so that makes it a 256bit but its 128bit the gddr5 makes it like a 256bit so no cons there! I was making my choice between this and the gts 250 and decided i would go with this because I was excited about which gpu to choose I forgot to check if it will fit! lol the gts is too big and this is smalled so it fits! also this beats the gts 250 when Overclocked!

  • The GTS 250 is a bit better no matter what, if you OC this you can always OC that card too. This is better if you really need the efficiency of the 40NM.

  • I just got this card the 4770 :D and wow i am really impressed really! ANd well gts 250 might have been better but eh i like this one better lol its 40nm and its awesome! Just one thing! its at 750mhz core and i would like to overclock it but in the ati catalyst settings i try to touch the setiings but I cant do u know to fix this? yoda?Oh yea also Im running it on a 300watt psu !!! O_O which is crazy but it runs great and tempts r good! thats why I got this cause of the 40nm process!

  • Never mind I did it and its well I can overclock now! Its a great card! just a lil tight fit but ok!

  • Good for you, I'd watch your PSU a lot.

Your risking your whole system by doing this.

  • What u recommend for this card? What psu brand and wattage. I plan to get bigger cards in the future as well. Like 2 of these in crossfire. But what do u recommend? Thanks. And yes Im watching my psu very carefully. It hasnt shut down or anything and made the inside of my case better so it will cool better. Everything I have inside my pc though is low powered and doesnt use alot of energy thats why its running good. My cpu max watt load is 45 watts! so its a low powered machine.

  • I put a 350watt now. DO i still need more. Be carefull when u overclock when using rivatuner I oc this card at 850 core and 975mem in rivatuner and the card was glicthing in crysis crazily. I uninstalled rivatuner and now its working fine. just be careful. Great card by the way and amazing review. Very professionally made and I love my ati card! I though it overheated at first but it was too high clocked. I also have the cards that have the different cooler that takes the air out the back.

  • Great benchmarks and awesome card Im thinking of getting this or the 9800gt which should I get? I want the best for my system and My final choice is between both 9800gt and HD4770! I heard u said On fear2 u got 32fps which does seem a bit weird Ive heard alot of games run perfect on nvidia gpus but on ati ones hmmm so so... Anyways which should I get! The 4770 Ill admit is an amazing card for the price. But I want the best! So 4770 or 9800gt?

  • HD 4770 is much better, but for the price now you can find HD 4850's for cheaper than HD 4770's so go for that.

  • the XFX one has got a diferent cooler

  • That is a newer model of the original.

  • men do this more often! your awesome!

  • counter strike? LOL

  • Which is better version of the 4770 the powercolor or Sapphire?

  • Both are the same, just different names. Same clock and everything. Check out the warranties I believe both of them have 2 year warranties. I'd just go for whatever is cheaper.

  • This video card can play crysis smoothly at 1280 x 1024 also this card as same as 9800 GT in performance.

  • That's definitely wrong, the HD 4770 is 14 to 17% in everything.

  • yes if you benchmarking HD 4770 vs 9800 GT in 3dmark 2006.

but many game was build to Nvidia GPU, that explain why AMD ATI GPU slower than Nvidia card.

  • 4770 beats the 4850 on call of jaurez bound in blood by a few fps

  • Hmm I'm surprised, must make serious use of the GDDR5.

  • What a fascinating piece of technology!

I gotta add it to my Rig when I get the money! :D

  • So true there, amazing bang for buck.

Same performance as a 8800 GTX, and those were very expensive when they came out.

  • cooleo

  • lol, I did think it was copper, not Aluminium...

  • Sneaky companies these days.

  • lol indeed!

  • what for junk

  • Great review man, too bad I'm even too poor for this card. :'(

  • Halo2pc... or anyone else.. any comments on how to put it back on automatic?

  • Having a problem choosing between powerC 4770 512mb & Power Color Radeon HD4850 PCS 1gb .Both hav the same pricing.

  • if u just want the better performance get the 4850.. but if u consider lower power consumption get the 4770.. depends on ur PSU, if ur gonna be upgrading that or not

  • Yeah tuberoako777 is right, if you have a weak PSU get the HD 4770 and if not get the HD 4850. Similar performance but yet very different.

  • i would go with 4850 has more memory better memory speed only lower gpu speed which u can overclock at least for 50mhz

  • Yeah since the HD 4770 is in low quantity the HD 4850 is a good replacement. The only problem is for people with weak PSU's.

  • well u mean for watts or for connection?

  • Yes the HD 4770 uses a lot less power than a HD 4850.

  • test

  • Yoda,

Excuse my ignorance..... but I removed the LOCK on the Catalyst to manually control the fan. How can I set it to automatic? I have the latest version of catalyst.

    Thanks in advance

  • If it is set to a manual speed in the ATI Overdrive section in Catalyst you should find a manual fan control button, uncheck that and it will now be automatic.

No problem, if you have any more questions please feel free to ask. :)

  • Thanks for your reply.

What is the speed i should set the fan to?

  • Hi, you need to use a tool that monitors your hardware, for example the one at lavalys com. It runs in the background and shows you actual temps of your CPU, GPU and HDD.

Depending on what temps the GPU goes up to, the fan needs to spin faster. If the RPM doesn't adjust automatically, find out with trial & error.

When the fan of my GPU spinned too slow, my screen got black at one point while playing. If that happens to you, restart the PC and set up the RPM.

  • Automatic is what I use all the time, if the load is getting higher (by playing games or watching a movie) the fan will automatically adjust to make the card cooler.

When benchmarking I set the fan speed to 100% so nothing bad happens just in-case for maximum performance.

  • Yoda,

I am new to your channel, as I was looking for a review of that card.

My question is. What is the "average" and recommended temperature this card should run? I play WoW and FFXI mostly

    Thanks

  • Hi, I just googled what temps other people getting.

With an ambient room temp of 21 degrees, this card runs at 45 degrees at idle and at 73 degrees at full load.

That's only approx 5 to 7 degrees cooler than the 8800 GT, I would have expected a bigger difference, but still ... not too bad.

  • Thanks for your prompt answer!!!

  • How long will this card be "decent" Will it still be ok let's say in 1 or 2 years for games like Starcraft 2, FF14 etc?

  • Well it all depends on what type of graphical performance you want, if you want to play maxed out all the time then you got to level up to something like a GTX 285 or something crazy.

Starcraft II should be fine, not sure about FF14 but most likely pretty good performance.

Remember this is a mid-range card.

  • Hi, I wanna replace my GeForce 8800 GT (110W) with the Radeon HD 4770 (80W) one.

Performance wise I'm actually happy with the 8800 but it gets far too hot (over 50 degrees at idle with good 3rd party cooler!), so I hope the 30W will make a difference although the 4770 gets higher scores in gaming performance.

    Amazing really.

  • Ah I see your point there. The HD 4770 will be much cooler thanks to it being 40nm, though you won't get a huge performance boost from upgrading.

  • Nice review Yoda! But, which one is better?

This one, the Gigabyte one, the HIS one, the Sapphire one, or the XFX one??

Or all of them are the same card with different sticker? xD

  • Same card with different sticker, different companies have different warranties. I'd recommend the XFX one because it has a double lifetime warranty, which means if you ever sell your card to someone they get a lifetime warranty too.

  • Same card with different sticker, different companies have different warranties. I'd recommend the XFX one because it has a double lifetime warranty, which means if you ever sell your card to someone they get a lifetime warranty too.

  • Man you are a fucking retard. I have 3 HD 4890's and they are far more worth 200 dollars than this piece of shit.

  • keep a single 4770 then upgrade to a dx11 :D

  • Great job on the review. Really helpful. Thanks!

  • No problem, I'm really glad I can help.

  • is this better than 4850 and 4830?

  • Better than the HD 4830 by a long shot, by slightly weaker than a HD 4850. But this card has 40nm, so it will run much cooler than a HD 4850 and uses much less power.

It also is very small in length making it fit in most cases. It can also perform better than the HD 4850 with a very very small overclock.

  • hey yoda, i dont speak english, so, a question: whats your system? CPU and ram, you probably say it in the video.. =/

    i have a Phenom 710 x3 L2 3x512kb and L3 2mb

4 gb ram (2 hiperx kingstom 1066 mhz)

    and the same card

  • Great review man I have been waiting for so long, I will probably be getting this card after seeing your review.

How do you like it so far? Any problems?

  • It's great I love it, same performance as the great 8800 GTX for less. Imagine in 2-3 years with the power of a GTX 295 or something in a $50 dollar card.

  • for con's you forgot its not the best card at the moemnt

  • It was never planned to be, it was planned to be the best performing card in the $100 range.

  • so maybe you got to tell the audience then master Yoda

  • For $100 that's a no brainer question, no one is going to expect this to be the best card out there.

  • cause you are probably a nerd,

you can ask 20 people if they know wheter or not it is the best card. 2 ppl will know it.

  • Cut it up guys, not here take it somewhere else.

  • Ironically it performs a lot better than some of the higher priced cards :). 2 of these in Crossfire and they can take on the 4890. The 4770 are about half the price of a single 4870. Might as well by 2 of the 770 as there's no point buying expensive DX10 cards when DX11 will be out by the end of this year.

  • does anyone think Havok is gna be better than Physcx and CUDA , ,god, again ATI VS NVIDIA,,,

  • I'm not sure, besides not a lot of games take advantage of that technology making it 100% useless in most applications.

  • as far as i know, that Havok, Phsyx and CUDA are their own "icing on the cake", they just boast it. its just marketing. i'm not a fanboy from both company, so i realize this.

  • Very true, I'm not a fanboy of anything.

  • just to make sure, i was just replying to the dude Bigdima3 :)

  • hi Yoda, i want to ask a question, how much amperage does this gpu need on 12v ? if my psu has 20A on its 12v, can it work? thankyou!

  • Mine has 18A and it runs fine even when OC'ed, it's not a good thing to do though. How much is your max wattage?
