Isn't the index finger, rather than the thumb, the one that's traditionally numbered the "#1" finger, for instance on sheet music that has fingering suggestions on it?

@longtalker On my keyboard digital display the thumb is 1. and lots of these keyboards were made

@longtalker no. 1 is thumb - index finger is traditionally #1 for guitar players and i seem to remember string players aswel (don't quote me on that)
