  • the guy with the blue shirt at 0:25 isn´t clapping... he must be deaf

  • is it just me, or do they play their songs faster than the original? it's not a bad thing, but for me it looks like they're in a hurry or they all have diarrhea.

  • mike mike mike

  • AB is #1

  • @AlterBridgeAndA7X lol, those are my 2 favourite bands of all time! You have great taste!

  • 5 dislikes i mean common thats just pure envy...

  • Eh, Myles, could've done a better job on the vocals live, this is a disappointment.

  • WOW!!! Myles singing a high note and playing some fast shit at the same time!!! 2:15

  • WOW MARK IS A GOD OF GUITAR IS A TRUE GOD IS MY INSPIRATION IS THE BEST IN THE WORLD

  • thumbs up if u saw the look on myles's face at 1:58!

  • i love the way he talks

  • okay, myles is an awesome singer, Mark is a god on the guitar, we all know that. but with that said, i don't think the drummer gets enoguh credit. he is also an extremely talented drummer.

  • @rockandrollrules5 Scott is not taken for granted, just pushed aside. He's my idol as a musician.

  • @rockandrollrules5 haha being a guitarist and all, the first thing that actualyl really stood out to me in this band when i first heard them was the drummer :P

he is amazing aswell as the rest of them!

  • @aidoxD i just feel sorry for the bassist

  • @rockandrollrules5 Nuff said. It's impossible to make no mistakes on these songs for drums.

  • @rockandrollrules5 and bass player also... they are just band of gods :)

  • @rockandrollrules5 yes scott phillips is amazing. mark tremonti is a great guitarist, but i dont think he gets enough credit as a vocalist. he has a great voice and it mixes well with myles voice.

  • @rockandrollrules5

damn right, he's a beast, this song is always a hard one to play!

  • @rockandrollrules5 BRIAN MARSHALL YOW!

  • @rockandrollrules5 Yeah. Scott Philips is one of the best drummers when it comes playing truly heavy! He's not the most technically gifted drummer, but he knows exactly what to play in order to take each song to another level!

  • @rockandrollrules5 You forgot one of the best bassists of the century - Brian Marshall... :(

  • I cummed from 0:00 til 3:32..!

  • @twootjeee you "came" lol

  • @twootjeee cumception!!

  • ALTER BRIDGE = Pure Gold

  • Will people stop judging bands only from their popular radio shit?! People are even complaining that ALTER BRIDGE is getting their stuff on the radio! I'm sick of seeing the same comments on every fucking video. Let me enlighten you guys:

Nickelback's first three albums were alright, lyrically honest material.

30STM's first album was epic experimental metal.

Green Day did straight up in-your-face punk rock in the early days.

Can we stop bringing them up on every video now?

  • the shitness of nickelback ? nickelback are amazing listen to the really heavy stuff man. that will change your mind....

    because of you

    side of a bullet

    animals

    follow you home

    they are all amazin,....

  • @tomsaint316 Nickelback is shit. Their new album is getting made fun of on several different radio stations actually and it isn't even out yet.

Alter Bridge doesn't have a single bad song, literally. They all have emotion. Nickelback might as well be talking about the same thing every raper is talking about, just with guitar added to it. Used to be a fan of that band, I'm proud I realized how much more talent this band has.

Not even bashing them, but they shouldn't both be in the same sentence.

  • @Kasandra8mars they are both extremely talented bands and if you cant play nearly as well as EITHER band (which of course u cant) then u should stfu

  • @Darkvalentine333 I don't believe stating that I could play as well as these bands. Mark was trained by John Petrucci I believe. If I'm correct then there's no way you even have room to be talking as well.

I guess you didn't see the part at the end that I wasn't bashing the band.

Regardless, it still doesn't change my outlook on Nickelback. I still say there's bands far greater than them.

  • @tomsaint316 completely agree, nickelback are a great band, not as good as alter bridge, alter bridge are a different class but nickelbacks heavy stuff is great, man i even like the soft stuff.

  • @alterbridgegod great musicians i agree nothing on ab talent but they are still amazing musicians , people who just listen to the soft stuff and criticize themm for it are idiots...

  • This song must be REALLY hard to play on every single instrument.

  • I love how they nail that thing at 0:44. whatever it's called. so cool that they include that and it's nailed as every other aspect of the show. fucking great band.

  • Comment removed

  • @russianradio85 sorry i didn't read that far down the comments

  • Tremonti and Myles perfectly synchronized!!!

  • 4 people were binded by the ties

  • Alright, before I say it, I want to make clear that I think this band is great. The singer is great, and has the ability to hit every single note perfectly when performing live. So why does he insist of half assedly singing at every live show. I can't find a single video of a live performance in which he does not sing the song totally differently than he did in the studio. "The ties that Bahn?" wheres the rest of that melody?!?!

  • @chudanjufood Um, back in the studio where it belongs. You try singing that line up flat out mate. He generates the atmosphere, the band do an excellent job, the stuff is amazing.

  • @BrothersSilentium Don't get me wrong, he's still doing a good job. But as a musician I will say that I think it's a bad idea to write something you can sing in the studio but not perform live. Its setting yourself up to look and sound bad. And for the record (though it's really pointless to point out over the internet as there's no way to prove it) I can and have sang those notes flat out. They're really not that hard to hit. That's why I said something.

  • @chudanjufood

what is the purpose of singing/playing the song note by note? what would be the purpose to go to a concert? for me it's great guys are changing it a bit. This makes live shows unique.

As for the singing, try to sing this stuff while playing the guitar.

Myles' voice is pretty well controlled and his pitch is perfect wher it needs to be.

But singing while playing is a tough shit to do.

  • @malootchky I'm pretty sure you guys are assuming that I have no gigging experience, which is not the case. I've played hundreds of gigs. And the problem is not that he's changing it up a bit, every singer does that. But the parts he chooses to leave out are a lot of the vocal hooks in the song. There's plenty of bands with music and vocals just a difficult, if not more so, that don't mess their own vocals up. If you can't pull it off live, don't play it at your shows. That's all I'm saying.

  • @chudanjufood

I didn't mean to assume anything 'bout you. Anyway, I kind of agree with what you are saying. Nevertheless if you're musician like myself, you obviously know that when you record an album you think about the song and how to make it best. Only when it's done you think about gigs (and running the stage, banging your head, etc.).

I agree he could have done it better, however watching the whole gig I must say it's a margin I can accept :)

    Peace brother and rock on!

  • @malootchky Much respect. I will definitely agree that it's overall still an acceptable margin of "intentional error", as I would call it. It obviously intentional as he does it exactly the same in every live recording of this song I've seen. And lets face it, if offered a chance to go, I'd still go see them in concert. Then I'd spend the rest of the evening with my jaw on the floor gaping in amazement at the guitar work.

Keep on jammin' good sir! It makes the world go 'round.

  • @chudanjufood Meh, I'd go listen to Myles sing at live gigs even if he wasn't at his best. Listen to the vocal sustain at 2:16 also, he's playing guitar too. In the songs where he puts aside the electric guitar, he sings stronger. If his voice is annoying, look at the way he generates the audience's atmosphere. He's a top class musician.

  • @chudanjufood I'll have to agree with what @BrothersSilentium is trying to say. That note (or those notes) are pretty hard to hit in sucession. That, and the fact that the tempo was a tad faster than the studio version. But I do agree with you in that Myles is a great singer and it dissapoints me that he does go half-assed during live shows.

  • @drummercatD1 and to anyone else who says he is singing in a half assed manner he is not. I myself have had some vocal training and done a few gigs in my time, nothing on this scale obviously but he HAS to conserve his voice, that is the point. The live gigs are really a time in any band for the bassist, the drummer and guitarist to really shine, the front man generates atmosphere, the rest of the band build on it and really showcase what they can do. You try singing ten to twenty songs at gigs.

  • @Lanstrlen1995 I understand where you're coming from. But why I used the term "half-assed" is not really in a negative manner. I say it because he isn't using his full tonal potential, because he's conserving his voice. Beleive me I understand about voice conservation, playing music for seven years; and also where you come from about letting the instruments shine during a live show. I have alot of respect for Myles and he has become my biggest influence vocally. Sorry for the misunderstanding.

  • who gives a crap where nickel back is from,i love this band ,but nickelback has wrote a few good ones!!

  • Wait, Nickelback's Canadian? When did this happen? Can we get them to take Lady Gaga too?

  • ye ive been corrected quite frequently on that one...oops. I like to pretend that i meant NORTH american. lol.

  • Roll on November :)

  • one thing i've noticed throughout this concert, they should have turned up tremonti's guitar. especially in metalingus

  • @aeasley mee too !!! :)

  • YES! going to see these guys in November!!!!!! Cannot wait!!!! :D

  • @aeasley91 I saw them in May in Nashville. Easily the best live band out there.

  • @aeasley91 Me too! (Hopefully! ;D)

  • Definetly the greatest metal song ever written.

  • Comment removed

  • This song must be REALLY hard to play on bass.

  • @AlterBridgeAndA7X harder when you only have a 4 string :P

  • @AlterBridgeAndA7X it is lol

  • @AlterBridgeAndA7X fkyeah your acc name are my 2 fav. bands, that;s awesome hahaha^^

  • scott phillips is awesome :O

  • @Austin21971 What you see him switching is the pick up selector. With this particulair guitar you can adjust the volume for the neck and bridge pick up individualy. So if you mute one pick up and start twichting the switch you get this very cool on/off effect. Its also called a kill switch.

  • @TualCor Haha damn, I was just about to explain it to him, but then I see your comment. XD

  • never knew creed could be so good.

  • i think they were better when i saw them live last October, still amazing though

  • They speeded it up too much. It's not as good as the studio version, not even close and Myles can't cope, it's obvious. I think they should learn from this and play this at it's normal pace. White Knuckles, on the other hand sounds great at the faster pace it is played in this amsterdam concert.

  • @sofoclebeat I'm guessing you haven't seen them live in person.

  • @gbsons indeed, I haven't.

  • Im guessing myles couldn't emphasise bind, remember this is played at a live tempo :)

  • you try singing that fuckin long note while playing that riff. in front of that many people, playing that many songs. you'd be out of breath too.

  • Yeah. The chorus sucks here. No momentum especially on the "ties that bind" part. And I hate it when he cuts the long notes, which is almost always.

  • @JoakoTv I know what you mean, I was hoping that they'd do the vocal bit when the song kicks in at the intro, but hey, their awesomeness means that that doesn't matter. :D

  • @JoakoTv he's improvising dude

  • great live performance. 5*

  • somebody can tell me how many different guitar tunnings are they using while this concert? :)

  • just seen them not to long ago in cali,,,if you missed it,,,,,YOUR STUPID!!!

  • myles is just awesome. where can you find a lead vocalist that's better at guitar than most of the lead guitarist out there?

  • This band is so under rated :/

  • @jordybwfc An underrated band cannot fill the MEN arena...

  • @pearldrummerbt123 thats arite min, just my personal opinion etc etc.

  • finally an american band that counteracts the shitness of nickelback

  • @russianradio85 nickelback are pretty awesome.

  • @dyanandtinaforever correction: WERE

  • @russianradio85 oryt!

  • @russianradio85 Nickelback is Canadian.

  • @TheorySH D'oh!

  • @russianradio85 nickelback is canadian dumbass

  • @quackmaster1447 fine....a NORTH American etc. etc.

  • @russianradio85 Ummm sorry to break this to you, but Nickelback is Canadian.

  • @russianradio85 Nickelback is cool i think. by the way, they are Canadian. so your sentence is invalid.

  • @russianradio85 Nickelback is Canadian

  • @TalkingCardCreator Sir, YOU are Canadian. Already three people said Nickelback is Canadian before you and you obviously didn't read the comment below yours. On a different note though, I really like this song. Even though I fail at it when playing Guitar Hero.

  • @TalkingCardCreator canada is in north america

  • @russianradio85 Nickelback is from Canada actually!

  • @russianradio85 there is a similarity...both bands use PRS...dont flame me! lol

  • @strengthbeforepride haha true! (yet i use a les paul with emg's.... but that doesnt make me Zakk Wylde)

  • @russianradio85 Nickelback is a Canadian band, but the point still stands :D

  • @russianradio85 nickelback are canadian

  • @kingXnothing this has be covered already

  • @russianradio85 Nickelback are Canadian...

  • @metalmanky306 Maybe he is implying USA rocks and Canada sucks?

  • @wallaabo *shrugs* maybe...

  • @russianradio85 my apologies, I didn't see the number of people who had already said that...

  • @russianradio85 It's probably a good thing Nickelback is from Canada....rofl :D

  • I got a Boner from 0:00- 3:32

  • 86,000th view.

  • 0:46 - i jizzed in my pants.

  • i think they are great!! heard bout them in MOJO

  • such musicianship!!! Alter Bridge FOR LIFE!!!!

  • best atcual band

  • It's worth the sacrifice , way beyond the ties that bind

  • Comment removed

  • @NICKWAPPERER117 Notice that instead of switching out the neck pickup on it like most people do with the tremonti se, he swithched out the bridge pickup. Myles a guitar genius

  • @garcia1dallas yea i noticed that, why do u think he did that?

  • @NICKWAPPERER117 With that high output pickup, you get more of a round sound that Mark wanted as the neck pickup on his guitars. Using it as the bridge pickup and you might be able to get a nice edgier, harder type of sound. That's my theory, I'm gonna try it out to be sure. If Myles did it then it must be good

  • @NICKWAPPERER117 thats not tremonti's se fool. lol

  • @JigsawWill no need to be a dick.

  • @JigsawWill dude chill the fuck out! he never said it was.. he said that people change out the pickups on THERE SE models.

  • one persons life is guna end shortley :p

  • Mark is a beast! My one and only idol. Alter Bridge is like all of my favorite types of music in one! Hopefully one day people will recognize the greatness of Mark Tremonti and Myles Kennedy together.

  • Mark Tremonti is a Guitar god!

  • is a shoot in your head, god song, I love A.B.

  • is this sped up at all?

  • @athletesfootable yeah Alter Bridge do play fast tempo live...there are a lot of bands that do either to create a better atmosphere or to fit in more songs

  • @stigno89 nah just cause they're in the zone

  • @athletesfootable sped up in reality.

  • they really kicked up the tempo for the live version, i like it

  • look aint this dumn ass video red neck.

  • if your that girl I met on omegle drop me a line, I wanna finish our conversation

  • This intro is simply legend.

  • the song sucks at 3:32

  • @fbbc2 you mean the song sucks at 3:33, when it doesnt exist.

  • @velocity20110507 Yeah which means the song sucked cause the song is over ! :L

  • @fbbc2 How did you add the time into that comment?

  • @fbbc2 whats wrong with it?

  • @Kitaguwatabe

cause this song is over at 3:32

  • @Kitaguwatabe

    because the song is over

  • love the drumbeat at 2:17 - 2:28 :D

  • @Trommeduden1 Everything that is happening in those ten seconds is unreal!

  • i love the mean frown they make when doing the main riff

  • Fuck! God bless the day when I discovered Alter Bridge! They're awesome. Myles & Mark, what a duo!

  • lol...best moment 0:46......awsome....

  • yes myles i will enslave you for my own enjoyment :P

  • Look guys, you need to stop comparing Creed with Alter Bridge. They are both, in my opinion one the few still awesome bands out there. Creed is an amazing band and so is Alter bridge!

  • @BlackMage867 I agree!

Both bands Rock, and Both bands are unique!

I also wish people would stop hateing on Stapp, yea he had a few problems, so what everyone does! anyways both bands Kick Ass!

  • love love love 0:47!

  • You guys know what's the best about them, in my hopinion?

It's that they alway look like they're having so much fun on stage, like @2:00. They're good-natured guys who love music and playing, and do that out of love and fun and because it has a meaning for them. No egos at stake, no competition between two greatly talented guitarists and excellent vocalists. Just "good friends", as Myles puts it, that plays amazing music for the entertaining a crowd.

    They are really amazing.
