In This Clip, From 2:33 To 2:43, It Was CBS Sports' NFL On CBS: Minnesota Vikings Vs. Detroit Lions Video Promo For Thursday Afternoon, November 24, 1988.
I cant remember what I did on Turkey Eve but on Turkey Day I went to the city with my brother and uncle to see Child's Play twice in a crowded theatre. It was so cold that night, too!
Oh I don't remember what I did on Thanksgiving Eve that year either. But seeing these commercials on this tape reminds me of how much fun the night before Thanksgiving used to be when I was a kid (you know, the way ya feel when you don't have to go to school the next day!)
Look, your getting way to defensive and you still have not answered my question, so let me ask it another way. Q. What value do you associate with the viewing of these commercials in this context? I am sincerely curious. Is it some sort of popular culture nostalgia and what difference does it make whether they were screened during a showing of Star Wars? Why would people ask "what was on when you taped this?" Hence my question what's the point?
Yes, there is a nostalgia connected to these commercials - there are advertisements for short-lived TV shows and holiday-themed specials - some people see these ads as a connection back to simpler times, their youth, or will see a product or TV show that they used or enjoyed at one time.
My point is to entertain with such nostalgia, & inform of what was going on 20 yrs. ago. And there's "Star Wars" bumpers included, so obviously this was filmed during an airing of the movie.
What I mean is, what is the point of uploading commercials from years ago with regard to their use during a screening of Star Wars? I meant no offence but there seems no obvious point. Why don't you fill me in
Wow, do you just go on people's pages asking them the same question?
The reason that I posted it is that it is a commercial break - the reason I said "Star Wars Commercial Break" was so people wouldn't ask "What was on when you taped this?" It answers everyone's questions, but apparently, you think there is no point. Would you like me to post "What's the point?" on your videos? Because I don't do that.
In This Clip, From 4:48 To 4:52, It Was WCBS-TV's Channel 2 News At 11 Video ID For Wednesday Night, November 23, 1988.

Folks, let me make one thing clear - they're COMMERCIALS - enjoy them. And if you don't want to watch b/c of the video's labeling, then fine.

What do you mean by that? If this video annoys you, then you don't have to watch it.
