you most likely posted this comment with NO knowledge of how easy Ubuntu (a Linux OS) is. and many people and businesses use Linux because it uses less Hardware Resources, runs faster, etc. Linux is also in most Portable Devices like Cell Phones, MID's, PDA's, etc.

I run gentoo and use the latest mesa-6.5.3 but this and every version before it doesn't play video well with mplayer (plays but doesn't move with the player when i switch desktops) Thanks and keep up the good work.

Understood, it is a 'kernel' but you, and everyone else, understood what I meant. Regardless of the flavor, be it Ubuntu, SUSE, Mandrake, etc., it's a cool alternative to MS and even, albeit to a lesser degree, Apple's OS.

I use Beryl-svn version.
so i don't know detail that beryl release version. :)
