I just got back from Germany and the Hofbrau tent. Totally awesome. If you do go, take off your underwear beforehand, it my just get torn off and thrown on the balloon in the middle. I was almost hit with flying undies.

It's the greatest beerfest i've even been and also the biggest one. It's enty free, but when you don't have a sit, you don't get a beer. So you must be early to get a seat. You really must go because it's awesome. I've been there twice and next year i will go again.
the oktoberfest is entry free. but the beer these days can cost a lot. was there today, a maß (litre of beer) cost about 9€, a hendl (roasted chicken) about 8€, and a brezel about 4€.

I was at this tent in 1995! I remember naked girls dancing on tables... thousands of drunk fuckers having the time of their lives!!! Oktoberfest has been around since 1810 and I hope to make it back there for its 200th anniversary!

But back to the topic! I´m always a bit reserved, making party in such narrow spaces with such a mass of people! But then I visited the Oktoberfest and the "Cannstadter Wasen" in Stuttgart the first time and I´ve to say: It´s really cool! The people are all in a really great mood and all are peaceful and having fun!
BEST time i have had in germany since i have starting living here. Loved the Hofbrau tent!!!
