Good times. I loved playing with Awful company watching the Mercs/ex-Hyperion/others cry themselves to sleep over our numbers while grabbing any help they could get. I still remember fighting back the Mercs in a siege with only 2 people helping me due to them sieging at midnight ST. Thank god for Server downtime, they lost that fight (Again, to 3 people).

Unfortunately this video comes off as just the mercs bragging and not a true depiction of what really happened.  Besides dread wasnt with the mercs until a while after launch. Mercs allied with countless zergs in order to "defeat" the goons. Yet they never won Mar Shral in a real siege with all the advantages and exploiting presented to them. Most people in Awful Company had lives outside of Darkfall like myself working for a living and not having all the time in the world to play dfo.

Not a bad video but could benefit from a wider perspective. First of all it washed over WWI. Second, The Mercs had an atypical viewpoint on the game since they were operating with vast inside information so it's honestly not representative of the conflict as a whole. Nevertheless it's a good idea to record these events.

If you ever do anything on WWI I'd be glad to help since I was on Yssam where it started and moved to the mainland when the conflict moved there so I saw every minute of it.
