I love the Trek too. But if we're gonna talk sound design... Trek doesn't even come close to SW. Even the prequels (which I loathe) have absolutely amazing sound design.

Blaster sounds recorded on the guy wires of KAVL-AM in Lancaster CA. Used to work there years ago, and had alwys heard that they were recorded there. Cool to see the footage of it actually happening.
Anybody want to buy a piece of the guy wires? Star Wars history!
This book is amazing and to think of it no one has actually done a book on the making of sound design in film. Matt Wood , David Acord and Ben Burrt are good Sound Designers and this book is great as well. I will be deffenetely be picking up this book.
