  • Nice ride!I Had one of Mikes Bantams a 98' 4-link & all sold it & waiting on my brand new one from Spitzer,he builds the BEST! Bantams(alteredes)in the country(i feel) Why is yours so heavy? Its C.M. my old one was 350lbs. less than yours? Did you guys add alot more bars or ? Best of luck (do you still have it?)

  • Most people are surprised that our short little car is so heavy. We went for reliability over weight saving but I can't see 350 lbs difference unless your old car was a small block? Our Ford BB is heavy and would add close to that much weight over a SB. Next time we'll go all aluminum! We are still running the car and loving it.

  • Hi,

The car is a 2001 125" Spitzer Bantam. The chassis is a CM 4-link w/double adjustable Afco coil overs. The chassis was updated with helmet bars and one new cross member under the driver's legs and was re-certified to 7.50 in '08. It has a fab'ed CM housing and 9". The car weighs 2000 lbs w/driver ready to race so it's actually a bit heavier than most rails. The tranny is a Hutch built Reid case 2 speed. The engine is a 588" Ron's injected alky burner based on a Ford 460.

  • Can you give us some more specs on the car ? I know alot of people might be interested in racing one of these
