  • Really? Fighting over Fascist, White Nationalist, and Antisemitic bullshit? Who really gives a fuck? This song is about THE WORKING MAN. Last time I checked, they all work, regardless of whether it was illegal, racist, or antisemitic. Just listen to the goddamn song and quit spouting your self-righteous bullshit trying to make yourself feel as if you did a good deed for the day. And before you say anything, my great grandpa was in a concentration camp, so go fuck yourselves.

  • @RandyLeeSnyderJr Cheers mate. Long live the working man.

  • I love this song. My boss is such a fucking snob. When him and his mates came into our office after they had been out drinking port and shooting pheasants, I started playing this full blast on my PC lol!

The label of the marginalized mass has always been upon me, at the moment im studying at the university to avoid the pain and sweat of that sort of labour...So my question is, can i still relate to this working class when i work in the "academic" work force?

  • @JohnnyBgood911

of course not, then youre an academic like youself sad...!?;-) but the academics are as important like the workers. the academics research how the world, physics and stuff is made and what we can do about it and the workers make the hole thing goin to work..

  • @killjood666 dude wtf .al little bit racist,is it not?

  • @virko1990 Yeah it is bro, but think about it. The media is run by jews, which means our society is run by jews. The news, tv, radio, games we play, our holidays, all run by jews. And yet they have their special jewish rights free from our society. Fuck em. Stand loud and proud, we will overtake them.

  • @killjood666 i see we have a Neo-Nazi in our midst. your a fucking moron. religion doesnt have jack shit to do with anything. if you believe judaism has anything to do with controlling society you are both an antisemite and a racist shit. jewish people recieve special treatment because they were royally FUCKED OVER in the holocaust. remember that, and shut your fucking mouth.

  • @Teebown1 oh and i forgot. i know plenty of jewish people. none of them have recieved any unique treatment. good day kind sir.

  • @Teebown1 Yeah, other people got way more fucked up during the history and no one gives a fuck, but since the jewish people is rich... you know that 6 millions jews died in the WW2, but know one gives a fuck that 25 millions slavs got killed in the same freaking way

  • Except judaism isn't a race so he's not racist...

  • planet gets clean in brains and get the real meaning of life. but this will be a dream which is dreamed by intelligent philosophic people like it always was my innocent friend

  • in their eyes a terrorist: that just between...

look what is happening every day in africa: warlords and dictators eradicate hole villages...

build yourself and you will see that not only the nazis are the bad, if it would be this way it would be much much much peacefuller on this bowle, but unfortunately they are not alone and the poor poor jews are not the only ones which got fucked once. this never ending game of power only will end when the hole

  • @Teebown1

oh please wake up my highly innocent friend and get that such scenarios are happening every fuckin day on this fucked up planet. just in a smaller coverage.. or waht is it when the americans go to any country kill people and rape their women. or are you one of these blind mfuckers how still think "terrorists" are existing: a terrorist is just a adversary to OUR(west) establishment, so that means when an american break into a house and rape and kill a familiy, he is

  • @Teebown1 I agree with what you say, but I hate it when people don't even care to mention that the jewish people accounted for less than half of the victims in the holocaust. Not saying that they didn't suffer, they did. Just that alot of other people did aswell

  • @Teebown1 and as you know we dutchmen saved alot of jews :)

and this comment doesnt make any sense i know :)

  • @Teebown1 lol the HoloHOAX

  • @Teebown1 The holocaust?

remember that little event that surrounded the holocaust...you know...the second world war.

50 million people died all over the world, stop moaning about 6 million as if no one else suffered.

By the way, most Jews now are Khazars from Eastern Europe, not Hebrews, therefore they are not Semites so your accusation of anti-semitism becomes pointless.

interestingly though the Arabs are a Semitic people who are being murdered in Palestine by your beloved khazar Jews...

  • @y559djr liseten very good u dumb dushbag! half of the jews in israel r from arab countrys. thay were purge out, thair property stolen so thay came to israel. secound even the estern europen jews carry the semitic genetics and it was proven. last of all most of the so called palestinians r infacet converted jews, in nabules there r many houses with david star and a mezuza. thay were coverted to islam then to chrestianty and back to islam but all carry old jewish traditions... asshole...

  • @killjood666 you're an idiot.

  • @killjood666 you are aware that the Aryans were blond haired and blue eyed children NOT of jewish descent, by the qualifications laid out by the Nazi party.... right?

  • @killjood666: GTFO Racist troll scum

  • @killjood666 you're a fascist..you're an enemy of the working class

  • For the ppl who are proud of what they do, do it well and deserve more money, I feel for you, ive been there. But to all the assholes who won´t put in the hard work it takes to try to make things better, instead just sits around complaining about how unfair it is that they don´t make more money, screw you! That´s not what this song is about.

  • Gretings from germany

  • This is the best band ever keep rocking

  • Here's to all the workers who fight their own battles and refuse to be intimidated by Union thugs who care only for their personal gain.

  • Im dedicating this song to OWS. When I lose my job, I'll be joining ya

  • @noblepromiscuity True that man, I do physical labor stuff like landscaping and carpentry. Good hard work, but we get paid like shit while rich fat cats sit on their ass all day and paid out the ass. Bad ass song. Cheers!!!

  • Imagining you did it all by yourself and that society, i.e., public institutions, didn't help you along the way is just plain wrong. Once government is drowned in Grover Norquist's bathtub, unaccountable corporations can have their way with you to their hearts' content. Except they don't have hearts, or souls.

I'll believe that corporations are people as soon as Texas executes one.

  • I'm going to have to break my own rule here because I ran out of characters. Feel free to do the same. The people in question here probably work just as hard as you and provide just as valuable a service (clean working and living environments, etc.). The market is generally excellent at setting prices, but it's important to understand that the working class tends to bargain for wages on vastly unequal terms, so I wouldn't be surprised if many of them were getting paid less than they are worth.

  • @TheFeistymink This is what I fail to understand: If one thinks his own labor as, say, a janitor is worth X, then don't accept less than X in payment for labor. That the janitor may not be able to find any employers willing to pay more than X/2 is not a demonstration of the failure of society to value the janitor. It's a failure of the janitor to realize his labor is non-scarce which requires no training. If he were to invest in new skills, a 16 year old could replace his job. [cont]

  • @TheFeistymink ...And for less pay, which means on whole society has gained something from the reallocation of resources. But when janitors threaten, say, the school district with strike unless they have an increase in pay, they are saying "we refuse to learn new skills or better ourselves. We expect to be paid more than we mutually agreed to. If it were me, I'd fire the lot of them and put an ad in the paper hiring 18 year olds for half their pay, X/4.

  • @TheFeistymink What price mechanisms tell is is precisely what a given good or service was worth at a definite time at a definite area. There exist no humans that will trade something away for less than it worth TO THEM. They may believe it's worth more in an objective sense, but the only thing that matters in ANY given trade is what the traded items are worth to those two human beings.

  • @firnibulations I understand what you're saying, but this is going to be a hard sell to someone who works a full time job for low pay and doesn't have the kind of disposable income in takes to go to a university or technical college so they can become qualified for a more valuable job. I personally hate to see people working full time providing a necessary service for society and still not being able to provide for themselves and their families, but then I'm naturally kind of a bleedingheart.

  • @TheFeistymink Fair enough. And you know what, you're entitled to donate your money to those people, or any charity of your choice, or none at all. You can bleed your capital to others all you want. The only time I actually have a problem with your kind of mindset is when it attempts to force all people to pay the people for whom its heart bleeds. I donate a non-negligible amount of my income, but that's by consent and to whom I desire, by choice.

  • @TheFeistymink As a final note, if you ever feel inclined to, please do not use the guns of the State to steal my money. I worked my ass off learning and trying to better myself to get the income I have :). Oh, and student loans are how I went to college--I had negative start-up capital when I entered college.

  • @firnibulations Id like to end this on a friendly note by saying how impressed I am that nobody's resorted to ad hominem this whole time. Congratulations on being one of the few civil and intelligent people on the internet!

  • @TheFeistymink Hahaha likewise, my friend. I try to steer clear of fallacy altogether. I have an interest in being fair and trying my best to be correct (or at least most likely to be correct). Fallacy destroys both of those goals :)

  • This is an excellent song. Workers have had the bad luck to be in the position where they do extremely valuable work, and yet they make very little money because manual labor is so easy to replace. It's really too bad that market forces compensate workers for their scarcity and not the value of their work. The market runs of efficiency, not justice. I'm not a socialist myself, but I can definitely sympathize with any laborers who have turned to socialism or communism in the past.

  • @TheFeistymink A non-scarce commodity or service is not a very valuable thing in the marketplace (see copper compared to gold). The employment market is a marketplace in the same way. However, the more skilled, disciplined, and productive you become, the more valuable your labor is. Like every investment in a just market, however, there is risk. For example, your skill may be obviated by technology. Socialism fails because public ownership of the means of production never succeeds at its goals.

  • @firnibulations There is a paradox here. The non-scarcity of labor is precisely what makes it so valuable. An individual labor is worth next to nothing, but as a collective their labor is what allows modern civilization to function. This is the reasoning behind collective bargaining. It forces management to recognize the value of their workers. My point is that if you're performing a vital function for society, you're entitled to respect and a living wage no matter what the market says.

  • @TheFeistymink The market pricing system is an emergently complex, equitable system that places value on a product. It is the consumer price that determines how *society* values a worker's labor, not how the worker values his own labor. Securing a job that produced something that the society (the market, same thing) doesn't actually want (or want for that price) is disadvantageous to both the collective and the individual.

  • @TheFeistymink Now, I have nothing against unions. Like any corporation, they are free to make contracts with other corporations. But they certainly should get no special treatment. Everyone's jobs should be subject to society's desires, for the production of something of no value is wasted time, no matter how skillful a person is. I suspect this is where we differ: I value the product of labor, not labor for its own sake.

  • @firnibulations I think just one more reply from each of us and we should let these good folks enjoy their song. We're not talking about people doing something that "society doesn't value." To illustrate this point, imagine a world without janitors. We as a society put quite a lot of value on what they produce, but often not so much on the people themselves. This kind of status inconsistency makes people understandably frustrated.

  • @noblepromiscuity Everyone gets paid exactly what they agreed to get paid. Actually, they get less because of taxes--that portion goes to pay geriatrics and drug addicts for existing.

  • O SO FUCKIN' TRUE !

  • Remember this is a call to stomp the Lower Class under the working boots . These Dregs steal from you eat your bread and rob your nation

  • Makes me proud to be a construction labourer!

  • My grandfather was born in 1923 into poverty in Dublin, Ireland. He grew up in a three bed-room with his father, mother and six brothers and sisters. He worked all his life and never got his break. He joined the army with his friends in 1942 and fought for britain, as he was irish he was treated like dirt. He got shot and was sent to England. He was refused medals as he was irish until 1975 which is digusting as he put his life on the line to fight for the country. he died in 2006 RIP grandad x

  • Makes me proud to be a car mechanic!

  • shit,ist das lied geil.....

  • Song time: 3:35

    Listen time: 330:00

  • @silberdaniel21 very well said- and clever too.

  • How typical for some fool to make a racial issue not recognizing the fat cats have exploiting meaningless differences between the races to keep the working class divided and fighting among themselves. You deserve your existence if you cannot understand this. The simple question to ask is "who benefits" and the answer is not the working class whites or blacks or latins.

  • @jonpetry I wonder... As a software developer who labors 50+ hours a week plus college, at what point do I become a fat cat? 50k/yr? 100k/yr? 300k/yr?

  • @firnibulations You don't become a fat cat because you make lots of money, and I don't think this song is necessarily anti-wealth or anti-capitalist. Unskilled and semi-skilled laborers have provided the muscle and the man hours that created modern civilization and allow us to maintain it. Naturally, they aren't going to make as much money as a software developer because manual labor is easily replaced. This does not mean that their work is not as valuable as yours. All work is honorable.

  • @TheFeistymink I see. What I fail to understand, then, is the notion that management and executive jobs are not honorable labor to many. Indeed, they are among the most stressful labor in existence, rife with liability and the chance for every product and service you've architected to come crashing down at every moment. That is, unless you're government subsidized--then it doesn't matter if you actually craft a service or product the people want. Perhaps they, then, are the real fat cats.

  • @firnibulations I think the reason that so many people are resentful of management is because they feel that management is disproportionately compensated for their labor. An executive may make 300 times what a factory worker would earn, but did he contribute 300 times as much to the enterprise as that factory worker? Maybe he did. Maybe he didn't. It's difficult to measure these things.

  • So right this song, exactly why i wouldnt dare join the armed forces to fight for the capitalist bastards!

  • @YorkGod1 Ideally (not always and not saying that the current war is an ideal one) soldiers fight against institutions (monarchy, facism etc) not for them.

  • @captainpunkrock69 Yeah i get what you mean but them few at the top profit the most, hence why there hasnt been a major war between big powers necause the economies are too inter linked meaning they loose huge amounts of money.

  • this should be the American Anthum it is so true if you have a sweat ring around your neck you are t he first one to get shit on!!

  • The Irish Built this country !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • @johnjohn2069 LITERALY 10 cents a day for like 5 miles of railroads

  • Come on people lets not make this a race thing. I was just trying to get away from this argument. Lets start focusing on the supercorp headhunters that oblitorate the compatition and then line the pockets on poloticions so they can pass unfair draconian laws.

  • Black people where not the only ethnicity to build.this country. In reality its not skin color, but class. But dont target the upper class, look into the megacorps who fund politicitons... then youll be on the right track.

  • why do white run the country if blacks built it?

  • @okelley769 unfortunately the middle class is who built this country, and honestly blacks haven't really ever had a strong position in the middle class, in current times there is more of a balance, but truth be told, many blacks still live below the poverty line. but since you're taking racial pot shots, why do blacks live in a country paid for in a majority of white blood?

  • Communism...for a brighten future

  • The Hammer and Sickle is on the moon and out in the stars representin all us workers.

  • Ive always wanted to but this band and song COMPEL me to play bagpipes.

  • My father used to say that if hard work made you rich, there would never be a poor coalminer.

Working hard is fine. Working in a system that exploits the many for the riches of the few? That's not so fine.
