I just hate when animals are in captivity dogs cats chimps fish and any kind of animal should Rome free. Even in the zoo I hate it because the poor animals are locked in a cage just for the peoples entertainment how would you feel if you where locked up . Eli's mother was herself born in this country and raised by humans. Eli was her first baby and she had no idea how to care for him. And again, he is not a pet. The wild is a cruel place for chimps...bushmeat, deforestation, human encroachment and disease are taking their tolls and chimps will soon become extinct in the wild. Extinction is forever.

Caregivers routinely brush baby teeth or teach the baby to do so, which prevents plaque build up and reduces the incidence of gum and dental problems in the future. For someone who does not believe in raising endangered animals in captivity these things are seen as abnormal. To the caregivers of these animals, if it does not negatively affect the animal's welfare, it is an acceptable practice.

All Chimps grown up, most get sold as laboratory rats. then there forced to live the remainder of their life which is up to 55 years, living in solitude, getting knocked down up to 2-350 times or evern more. Its incredible 90% of these chimp lab test produces nothing for humans. I find it amazing when the labs burn or mutilate these chimps.

These chimps belong on chimp sanctuary's allowed to interact in a family group. All these play for profit folks that own these chimps is disgusting.
