WOW!!! FUCKING WOW!!! Zak screaming Like JON and Jon beating the fucking shit out of the drums while Criss shreds lika a Demon.. damn this video is a GEM. Holy Fucking Shit I love IT!!!!!! This band is unlike any other.
I saw them twice Gutter Ballet 1990 and 12/19/91 I got to meet Criss Oliva on the Streets tour ...He was so laid back, gracious and down to earth. What a super cool guy. Never saw this line up with Zak live but these TX vids all shred. Criss was a great musican!!! One of my all time favs. R.I.P
I love savatage even though I am only 19. My girlfriend is really good friends with Chris, I have met him a couple times and hung out with him. He is so cool.
Yes, this was at Dallas City Limits. I was there with my uncle, over on the left side of the video about 8 rows back. Zakk's vocals were amazing, and Criss' guitar playing was just searing. They opened the show with Edge of Thorns. I specifically remember Holocaust and Hounds as being standout performances. I ripped a Savatage flyer off the wall and got a few of the guys to sign it after the show ended. RIP Criss, one of the greatest guitarists ever to live.
Was this recorded at Dallas City Limits? Almost looks like it but I remember the stage being deeper. Looks DCL, or was this filmed at The Basement? And also, how the hell did you get this????
That was kick ass! I haven't seen that one live very often, and never with Zack singing. He did it quite well, and Criss well as always smoked it. Thanks so much for posting this
A lot goes thru my mind listening to that: That track is perhaps one of the bands most underrated, Criss and Wes sound very impressive on backing vox and Andy James just slayed on the drums! Thanks for posting!
Wes Garren played guitar and keys and sang back-up and Andy James played drums on the EOT '93 tour. They were "touring members" only. Neither one has had any involvement with Savatage before or after that tour.
Fuck!!!I just remembered I was at this show..Deep Ellum rocked back then...and so did shit that made me forget most of it.

Jon wasn't doing vocals with the band at this point was he. I like this but Savatage with Jon just is something special.

I think I have this video. I'm more partial to Oliva's vocals than Stevens, but damn, he does a good job anyway.
