  • glides like a dream ..

  • my pred flies nice ,, just not tough enough

  • i installed my front wheel wrong hahaha

  • this is a flight simulator

  • @abummmm No, This is my old field in California.

  • @wtmcgehee It's so green I thought it was a simulator

  • That field looks like a windows xp background.

  • Cool stuff.

  • You should find a way to add a small video camera to the airframe.

  • Yea if I could find a way to add a video camera I would definitely buy it.

  • How much did that cost all together and was it easy to put together? I was looking to buy this but I noticed it doesn't come with all the "pieces".

  • Something that big has got to fly so nice!

  • This plane has a CG problem. Maybe is has to do with the short fuselage and the big wings. Notice on the landing aproach how the aircraft balloons up. Maybe it could use some gyros from the SU-37.

  • Oh yeah, look how far back that motor is, its got to be tail heavy huh. Yeah, a gyro with a little bit of down trim will take care of that for sure. In 2 weeks we will have a video up on how to just that on a plane like this.

  • My problem was useing a e-flite 480 instead of the 450. I try to over power everything.

  • Cool, thanks :-)

I should've watched the video all the way to the end, lol. Nice plane by the way.

  • What's the name of this song and who sings it, i love that song :-)

  • Sorry it has taken so long to get back to you. The song is alive and kicking by non-point. I put all the names of the song I use in the credits. Keeps me out of trouble.

  • Put camera stuff inside, make it a FPV plane! That would be awesome!

  • You should chase somebody with that lol

  • Looks good.. I am looking to get one of these.. How does the elevator/rudder set up work? Is the rudder function on the bottom fin?

How does it perform doing some 3D moves?

Any other info would be helpful.. Power, length of flights, etc..

    Tnx..

  • The bottom fin is just a stabilizer. The rudder works off the v-tail. You will have to set your controller for v-tail so the rudder and elevator work off the two servos. The plane will not do any 3d. It fly just like the real one. If you want to get the best performance and balance you want a e-flight 450 out runner. A E-flite 25 amp pro speed controller. 4 E-flight S-75 sub micro servos and a 11.1 V 3 cell thunder power lipo.

  • If you fly it like it is indented, a glider. It will fly with 1/4 power in the air for about 30 mins. If you fly it fast it will last between 11 and 15 mins depending on how balance your lipo is. A good note is to make sure that this plane is perfectly balanced because it has a short fuse so it will fly weird if it is not balanced correctly.

  • Thanks for the info..

I'm thinking it might benefit from a modified tail... As in modified into a more conventional tail..

I know some folks have had trouble with it being tail heavy but that's something folks need to check before trying to fly it.

Not sure if the tail is also in part responsible for making it less 3D capable and also tip stalling under certain conditions..

  • why in hell would anyone want a plane designed for reconnisance to be 3/d capable ,the research has allready been done ,if one wanted a 3/d plane get an extra yak edge sukoi cap not something that flies in circles and smashes bugs..

  • Not really my point.. I'm thinking it may fly better with a conventional tail setup..

Not everyone is going to use it for "recon" in fact most probably won't..

  • i just scratched my head why you even pondered that possibility, and of course no ones going to use it for recon ,but its based on a recon and was designed to fly like a glider no snap rolls no inverted no hovering or flat spins just flying in circles only

  • Actually lots of folks use it for "recon" depending on what you mean by that..

It's a favorite subject for video and FPV.. And while the V-tail looks cool IMO it might fly better with a modified tail config.

  • k thanks

  • gas or electric

  • It is electric.
