The band worked fine without simon before he joined and when he was out during the top. However, this is great chemistry, though I think they need Roger back on keys. Them playing the key notes on the guitars doesnt work for me.

The cure is Robert Smith, the rest are gravy. Some of the albums could be considered solo albums and are brilliant.

To flowersofblood, I just want to add to what I said last week by agreeing with you that the Cure is not possible without Simon. He has to be one of the top bass players around and the Cure's music demands a brilliant bass player.

to Zick zack katze, As much as I adore Robert I have to agree that the other band members should get more kudos. I think Simon and Porl are brilliant and help give the band that Cure magic. In the song "Its over" Simon really is the icing on the cake and Porl is a sensational guitarist. The current line up is genius and Robert should keep it the way it is because there is real chemistry with this group.

Thanks for your nice comment. I agree that the current line-up is very powerful and magic. I don't like that a lot of fans want to freeze them up in 1989 or 1992. This guys are as old as me and I like to watch them getting older and older...and it feels good and powerful. Porls appearance is a surely art in itself. And I like a lot Simon's rock n' roll posing around and his bass playing - he creates the groove, no doubt. The incredibly good light show makes all even more magic.

For example: why only Robert stays on stage when the concert is over to receive the big applause? I personally think, that the band wouldn't work without Simon - never would it be the same. And I would love to read a interview with Simon and Porl, because I think they have something to say too.

To marcus..."Forever" originally was on "concert" the cassette. Now you can find it on "the top remastered"..as far as "baby rag dog book"- I wish I could find the studio version, maybe soon

I like the original title. Why is Robert so scared to push the boundaries a LOT?? He only seems comfortable going so far. Get outta ya comfort zone for the next effort or "it's over" for me and you.
