get a neatural flame with the oxy and but it out on the bench (put the flame out) simply fill the wine bladder up. this is the perfect fuel:oxygen ratio. max distance max noise.
@jsanderson34 Hairspray is useless. It makes your chamber all sticky and nasty. The thing in hairspray that makes it go bang is the propellant, which is propane/butane so why bother with hairspray when you can cut out all the smelly sticky crap and just use the propane. Pneumatic canons with compressed air beat combustion anyway.
I backed up so I could try and film the tennis ball, but its so small and goes so fast you cant see it.
The bang is pretty pathetic, but as the ball is so light,a nd its such an open area, theres not much of a bang to hear... Ball goes really high though. Have a look in my other videos for another tennis ball gun which is abit more exciting.
Its just a 75mm PVC socket (to join two bits of pipe together). There is a ridge on the inside of the socket which needs to be cut away. After I cut it out it slides over the pipe, so I just cut a hole to fit the ball through and the breech peice slides over the hole
Nope, its a squirt of the cheapest deodorant we could find. The best thing about this gun is it will fire a FULL beer can about 200m in the air. It makes a right mess when it lands....
Flammable gas is sprayed in the back in the form of propane or deodorant spray, the back is then sealed and a large electrical spark is fired inside the chamber and the gas ignites, rapidly expands shooting the tennis ball out the end....
Its 16 bar barrel, but the only reason I used that is caus a ball wont fit properly in 10 bar. The chamber is 10 bar and the fittings are 16bar. The valve is quite cool, im pretty pleased with it
I don't know what you mean by bar I guess SCH isn't metric, but it is PVC right and by bar you mean like from weakest to strongest DWV, Bar__,bar__ whatever from what I remember the srtonger thicker pipe type is usally gray and its used in low mix hybids
OH so you talking about the presure rating of the pipe, well of course the barrel is rated higher because smaller diameter pipe have higher presure ratings,
But they are the same type of pipe, now I guess based on that presure rating it's gotta be SCH40 pvc, thats pretty rare to have gray sch40 pipe and in the UK I thought most rated fitting are already pretty rare there
Yes, our pipe is done in pressure ratings, not wall thickness. Pressure pipe is very rare, if not un heard of in highstreet shops - you have to go to specialist places....
yes andY, it unscrews and is interchangable, between a proper tight fitting tennis ball barrel (not that one) and the other barrel w hich is for other things - beer cans being one....

@hoarp001 You should try A pneumatic golf ball one its crazy what a golf ball can do at 100psi the pipe is harder to find I think its sdr21.

Its 75mm 16bar PVC. Can't remember where I got it from. Have a look in my profile, i built a much bigger tennis ball gun after this one.

Oooh. its easy, just some plastic pipe. Just know that the tennis ball barrel is 75mm 16bar and it will work.

the ten bar is 145 PSI and the 16 bar is about 220 PSI.
