  • This is how found footage should be done. Mostly improve with long cuts.

  • Very good Work man that blew me away:)

  • What happens when a small town gets together to make a movie = PURE GENIUS! I was blown away at the talent in this video. You should be proud.

  • Well made great job!!!

  • Wow!!! What a great job guys. For a moment I thought it was going to be a 2hour movie, I got in to it real well. Awesome job!!

  • This was awesome! This gave me chills, great job!

  • How did you make the police participate.

  • Niceee. Very well done.

  • For some reason, the time I set glitched to a couple seconds ahead. So, when you get to 10:16, just go a coule of seconds back to 10:14.

  • 10:16. Figures. First death we actually SEE is a woman. Sexist, sexist writers.

  • @FozzE98 Oh my god, a woman get killed in an horror movie, ooooh myyy god D: In a lot of horror movies girls are the first to be killed, just saying, and that's not because it's a girl who is the first one to die that the writer is sexist.

  • Man this movie is amazing,

  • @4GameOver4 What a comment! Thank you

  • @RavynsRoost Thank you very much! So kind and encouraging to read words like that, but really pleases me is knowing it scared you!

    John

  • It pisses me off how a good well made short film like this gets hardly more than 2000 views, yet a video of some fat boy falling over gets half a million -.- where is the appreciation of talent on youtube

  • asome love it

  • @scarylove123 Thank you!

  • are there any plans for a sequel

  • @DeadPortraits First off thank you so much for watching the film. We are about to finish up on a feature length screenplay for THE HUNT and are currently seeking funding for it.

    John

  • Great short film!!! I was wondering, did you actually use night vision or not?

  • @Xanderfaulk Thank you very much. Yes we did use night vision. At the time we were using Canon GL2 & XL 1 and didn't have a night vision capable camera. Then it hit us-the very first cameras we filmed with were Sony Digital 8 camera and it had night vision on one or two of the models released those years. We crossed our fingers and hoped they turned on. Also with all the rough action used on the Digital 8s the screen blips that show up from time to time are real. John

  • Very well done as in i got scared.

  • @flyboy685 Thats great! Thanks again

    John

  • *listens to monster scream for first time*. o_0 *looks at clock. 10:41. let's do this shit!

  • @flyboy685 Thank you so much fopr watching!

    John

  • Damn dude nice job im going to subscribe to your channel. By any chance are you a fan of found footage horror genre? How did you do the special effects of the girls getting dragged and killed by the monster and all that? You should become a horror film director dude

  • @kirbys28 *SPOILERS* Thank you so much Kirby. I am a fan of found footage when its done right. TROLL HUNTER is one I really enjoyed. We had a rope around the girls feet and when I pan the camera away she just got on the ground then we had cues for all the different action that takes place. Horror film directing is the goal. Thank you again and spread the film around.

    John

  • @AGoodsizeProductions Oh hey a few more questions if you become very famous are you still going to do found footage horror? Can you do your next film Quarantine (REC American Remake) style? Put it like quarantine it would be cool but make it about like aliens infesting an apartment complex and its infected it would be good and I love your vids man.

  • @kirbys28 Oh my gosh if only I could get a feature made let alone famous! Ha! I would always consider "Found Footage" in the future-its another way telling a story. And we are seriously considering taking THE HUNT into feature territory keeping the "Found Footage" style intact. Thanks for all the views Kirby28

  • That was good. Great job!

  • @MrTntw Thank you very much

  • Awesome job guys

  • @HurleyTheImpaler Glad you enjoyed it

  • What did you have to do to have the police department to cooperate and help you make this film? Were they hesitant to help?

  • @MrBlakewatowa First we contacted the mayor and gave our intentions. Showed our storyboards and explained exactly what we would be doing. We came in organized and got straight to business. They were so amazing in helping us with whatever we needed. The Police were so kind and willing to give me as many takes as I needed-they were incredible.

  • “RRAAAWWWWRRR!!!”

    “Amen”

  • Sheriff is always some fat old man with a cowboy hat

  • @RudeReaper you're right, there are far too few scrawny, 20-year-old sheriffs with Boston accents.

  • @RomainPlourde --SPOILER--That was our producer, Chris Bower's voice. During the campfire scene we had go into the woods with a bullhorn and do the monster yell for the timing. He totally didnt think we woudl use it, but the whole crew agreed it gave chills-so ADR his voice for a couple more yells and laid them in. The snarls at the end are a manipulated Komodo Dragon growl that the assistant director, Jeffrey Vinson came up with.

    John

  • @RomainPlourde It sure does-our idea was to shape it like a Predator-smooth skin head for eating nasty bloody meat.

    John

  • Definitely surprised less than 1000 people have seen this. That noise made me shit blood.

  • @smokeylee1986 Please spread the film around! Thank your for watching it.

    John

  • This needs more views.

  • @rjdamato21 Here! Here! Please spread the film around.

    John

  • @RomainPlourde Thank you so much for that comment!

  • Awesome, just awesome.

  • @godzipette Thank you very much! That makes it really worth the hard work-someone getting into it-thank you

    -John

  • @AGoodsizeProductions 1:19 Are you friends with the police or something?!!

  • @silvergoldjewels Not at all-we contacted the city and the police department informing them our intentions. Plus we have an amazing producer, Chris Bower who can talk anyone into anything. The citry and teh officers were excited to do it. The local paper came out an did a story-once they relaized there was no exploiting going on they were all so excited.

  • nice dude...great effects on the monster...acting was just great man.....what materials did you use for the monster...(i am a big fan of found footage movies as you can see)

  • @nekoryushi Thank you so much-glad you enjoyed it! We were going for old fashion creature feature mixed with "found footage"-again so excited that you liked it.

Now don't be upset with us, but at the request of our special effects technician ,BJ Clark who is just a genius with effects wants the materials and method he used a secret as of right now-he says it's "movie magic" he is outstanding at making the fx come to life.

Will gladly share any other info with you! Thank you again!!

  • @AGoodsizeProductions Was it hard to get the whole town to join in? Do you or y'all intend on making another found footage like this one?

  • @nekoryushi Well as of right now we don't have plans to do another "Found Footage", but never say never because we had a blast filming it. Our next film is slated to begin filming on Oct. 1st and it is an old fashioned ghost story. We are making our venture into HD filming and very excited about the format. Of course we wont be putting down our old tools just yet-no matter what you film it with long as its good content.

    John

  • @nekoryushi Sorry bout that didn't answer first part of the question. It wasn't hard to get the town to cooperate at all, they were so giving. As you can see we had Policemen, Courthouse and they closed the streets down for us as well. We treated everyone with respect and most of all made it fun for everyone. We had over a month of pre-production so we were organized and ready to shoot when we got there. We got our extras by making announcements on our local radio station.
